Why divided on 0.95 to get the 5% Cement? It came out 15.56% While 5% out of 295.77 can is 14.78%. Especially as same method wasn't used for the water Please explain. Thanks
Do farther math on it, it actually works. 😊 actually he put less than 10% percent of water in volume to mass instead of 31.134 it should of been 34.5933 over all mass of the mixture
This kind of explanation and demonstration is insightful and helpful. Still, how does Mr. Hallock actually transfer this information to a practical job site? Obtaining suitable soil is not cheap. And in America, how does one test soil for toxins that may be in the soil? And the mini-block was created with 2,000 pounds of force. How is this duplicated for full size blocks by simple hand machines and why is this the target pressure? Wish Mr. Hallock would continue to post videos like this. However, Mr. Hallock seems to have fallen off the face of the earth. Notice any responses to any inquiries on any of his YT videos?
Hi Mr. Jim, I am planning to construct my house with CESB. I have got the soil of my area tested and below is the result: Sand - 29℅ Silt - 36% Clay - 35% Please guide if this soil is suitable for lime stabilization? And if not what can be done to make it fit? Thank You!
@@mafira1987 I have wondered, if you could do partial cement and lime, since lime reacts to clay and cement is more suitable for sand and gravel. Of course at lower parts from 5 to 10% of these stabilization. I have looked it up and unsure of the answer.

It’s perfect for lime stabalisation you just need to add more sand
