I've spent the winter months collecting many hickory clubs and refurbishing them thanks to your videos. Recently learned the hard lesson of whipping the driver hosel. Broke my first club. After playing a few rounds with modern and hickory clubs I'm finding that I hit the hickory clubs more consistently as it forces you to slow the swing down and focus on contact. Thanks for everything Christian!
Thanks, man! We need to coordinate our hickory match play. Hoping you’ll be able to come out this way sometime this season. I’ve been keeping in touch with Tom Coyne and he’s excited to get some hickory folks up at Sullivan County.
Looking forward to the 2024 content. I am currently using your original how to videos to refurbish my first set of hickory clubs. I would love to see a video on a hickory retro fit as I have a MacGregor Klaymor that I pulled the steel shaft out of and now I’m not sure how to proceed. Thank you for what you do on the channel, I would never have been interested in hickory golf if not for seeing your videos.
That’s one of the big projects I’ve got on my radar, too. I’ll see what I can do to get that video on the channel this year. And very happy to hear the how-to videos are helping you out. Thanks for the support!
Hey Chris, great to see you and thanks for the update. When you do videos on shaft making could you include how you get the tapered point that fits into the hotel. And just a side question, after the Scotland trip do American golf courses seem a bit boring?
Thanks, Ben - I’ll add that project to my list. And yes, the natural beauty of the courses, the affordability and public access to amazing courses, the links turf, the pace of play, and the emphasis on simply enjoying the walk are all things I love about playing in Scotland that are hard to find in American golf. I felt like I was playing a purer form of the game there.
Bud, make as many or as few videos as you want. We, your viewers will enjoy 2 a week or 1 a month. We need to keep fighting, in a way, for the soul of this grand game. IMHO
Great story about naming the clubs, well done.
Thanks, Chris! It was a fun surprise for my mom, too, when I showed her my first club.
The workshop looks great, looking forward to seeing your work.
Thanks! I’m really happy with how it’s come together. It’s a very comfortable space to work in.

My pleasure, Greg! You’re on your way!
New to your channel and binged watch all your vids lol
Good stuff 👍🏼👍🏼
Awesome- welcome to the channel! Let me know if you have any questions if you decide to start buying and/or repairing old clubs.
Love the new content idea!!!

I totally agree! And thank you - I really appreciate the support.
Grip it, rip it and chip it is not golf.
Couldn’t agree more.
Looking forward to the new era of HH, gutty golf and clubmaking, OH YEAH!
Thanks, Nick! I’m very excited about what’s coming up this year and looking forward to working with you on a lot of it.
