I remember in the early 90s when the graffiti penalties in OC went from hours of community service to felonies when the tag-banging era was at its peak. It definitely made a lot of writers think twice and showed who was truly dedicated. I went to college.

Orange county is a lot harsher than LA county regarding the law on just about every crime.
LA and the Bay after the govt forced "covid" lockdowns became way more relaxed on graff arrests and buffing.
