I just want to share a story. When I was 21 my best friend took his own life, his favorite band was Misery Signals. To this day every time I hear misery signals is and always will be my favorite band they are a very memorable part of my life. When I listen to Malice and the Magnum Heart the year summer ended in June it brings years to my eyes every damn time along with Anchor from mirrors the song we were listening to frequently when it happened. I guess I'm sharing this because it's more than
I had my best friend commit suicide in July of 2018. We were in a band together. I'm not going to spend a lot of time on this...same...the summer ended that June.
In the trenches after war, outside the factories Hidden in the architecture, mimicking the angles Everything will rust In the time it takes to lift my best laid plans from the riverbed Everything will rust Despite the fear that I feel, there is still enough to bury us I've come here to worship and scrape my nails into the stone Hoping to leave my mark, a message to my heir Are you listening to the wisdom surrounding you?
Prog Indie Rock and RnB vocals metalcore. That right pan shriek during the duet at “scrape my nails into the stone...” is brutal/beautiful. Not to mention the impressive belt to conclude. I need new Misery Signals stat! New album gonna be insane with Devin.
In all honesty, screaming lyrics aren't normally my thing, just happened to give this a listen and wow. Speaks the lyrics very clearly and the multi-part harmonizing with it works so well, first time I've heard something like that.
This is the first song I heard from them. They have opened up a whole new genre for me. No one I know understands how i feel about this album, but i feel everyone here does. Feel like im the only one in Melbourne who has heard these guys???!!!!
This is a great song to first hear from these guys. This album has a separate feel of its own, not worse or better in my opinion. My personal and all time favorite would be Malice and the Magnum Heart. Enjoy this band, light years above most of the same replicated standards of the genre!
I think this band puts out progressively amazing albums each album that comes out is better than the last. I LOVE every album they put out but by no means is one better in quality than the others, just progressively better. Moving forward with their sound while maintaining the same sound in a very delicate and aggressive manner.
Fully agree, Controller is untouchable, it's literally a timeless record and still hits harder than any band in it's genre to this day. The Failsafe alone allows Mirrors to shine, Absent Light is middle ground for me, not a tremendous fan but still on rotation. Malice is unique in it's own way and defintely has some songs tied to personal memories. Misery Signals will go down in history, and they still deserve so much more recognition.
At 3:15 I'm screaming "NO!!!!", hand outstretched, because I don't want it to end...and then the song (and really, the album) slowly caresses my face and gives me a kiss on the cheek before fading away into the darkness. Beautiful.

Très bon album, différent de Controller mais tout aussi bon ! La mélodie me gagne et m'emporte dans mes pensées ! Good job guys, keep doing great stuff
Reminds me of the last song on malice. Slow song at the end of the album and also one of the best songs on the album. These dudes know how to make slow songs goddamn!
Wow, I am hearing some things I loved in the guitar melodies and harmonies together akin to Poison the Well and Beloved. I love this. Why haven't I heard this sooner? :'(
Ones. This song really reminds me of those times. Sorry to be all emo but this is the best music I've ever heard in my ear holes and I can always relate to it and it always makes me feel good.
idk.. Malice and Controller are untouchable.. Its seems they took a totally different direction with this album, Its still great but not as atmospheric and emotional as Malice and Controller IMO just more keyboards..
Malice is a damn masterpiece. Every track is a banger. I actually listened to this album for the first time and I love it, but Malice will always have a special place in my heart.

Its too good
its how i know we arent on the darkest timeline
This song should've been twice as long.
This is one of the most moving pieces of music I've ever heard; it is actually difficult for me to listen to it.
Absent light is a masterpiece.
Misery Signals.. I waited so long for this album. Beautiful.
You're beautiful too :)
ROBBIS TV the thirst
Such a beautiful chord progression at 2:58, damnnn!!! Also, this drummer is fire

From about 3:12 on sounds like their musically saying “goodbye”. I still tear up when I listen to it.
Chills, chills everywhere!
Who's still here in the Ultraviolet era?
In all honesty, screaming lyrics aren't normally my thing, just happened to give this a listen and wow. Speaks the lyrics very clearly and the multi-part harmonizing with it works so well, first time I've heard something like that.
You don't like the screamed vocals? :O
This is the first song I heard from them. They have opened up a whole new genre for me. No one I know understands how i feel about this album, but i feel everyone here does. Feel like im the only one in Melbourne who has heard these guys???!!!!

+U Mirin personally liked of malice best and controller second but this and mirrors is good still.

The musicianship in this song is unreal. Misery signals deserve way more credit than what they receive

The cleans on this were by the singer from Bad Rabbits. Check them out! Super talented dudes.
There are several sick bands out there...and none compare.
It's 2020 & I'm berely hearing this song!?? 😔😎
RookieFrnndz You missed out man! But this stuff is timeless.. Now they got a new one on the way 🙂
Roberto Reyes WAT
This band just... Captivated me. The melody and aggression that holds beauty within chaos. Absolutely divine.
The best song on what is an overall amazing album in my opinion, beautiful vocal structure.

Such a good track to end the album with. I love the flow of all of their albums. So well thought out and put together
I dont know why I'm crying every time when I 'm listening this song so sad and very beautiful song.
This song has changed my perspective towards things. This band is a fucking genius.
Great track. Love the harmonies of the vocalists.
Just music to me, it's a memory a feeling of great times yet very sad and emotional one
Wow, I am hearing some things I loved in the guitar melodies and harmonies together akin to Poison the Well and Beloved. I love this. Why haven't I heard this sooner? :'(

Damn, the mix of screaming and cleans is nice.
I want to see a video for this. Just for the drums.
I'm a total sucker for this sort of sad songs. This, The Butterfly Effect and others like this. Guess I'm emo lol
everything will rust, but it's up to us in order to keep everything robust
Thanks man!
We agree ;) no-one quite else like them, eh?
How EPIC !!
Great album.
let's just hope that this won't be their last song for a long LONG time. I thought this when I heard Homecoming off of Controller
Amazing track. . Wish I had the lyrical background!

Or you need to open your mind more :-)
you need to expand your range of music then
Keyboards? You mean those orchestral sections? Because that's all real. No synth.
first bitches. this shit is sick :3
Sucks Karl got kicked out of the band
controller was better.
