I’ve been going there quite frequently lately trying to catch some bass, they just don’t want it right now though. This video motivated to go out and try for some trout today. Subscribed, hope to see you out there one of these days. 🎣
Never been to Contra Loma, but that shallow area looks just like quarry little cove area. I like that 1.2 grams it flutters the top water like crazy. I was fishing with a guy who had a .9gram that flutters like a butterfly because it's so light
People overlook spoons because later on trout get finicky on the jigging… spoons will do the job it’s more faster, flashy and addictive to the trouts eyes. Less people use spoons and spinners in socal in my opinion. I take that opportunity to outfish jig dudes
I understand that jigging came from socal and made its way up here. It wasn't that popular up here before 2019. I understand why they do it down there because of the typography of the lakes. They are made up of small coves where there are dozens of anglers who share the bank. I get it. But It's not for me. I love the blind hits from a spoon and fishing in solitude. I see it's very popular with the kids because it's easy. When the jiggers grow up, they will throw spoons.
@@SuperDuperOutdoors mini jigs and then 99% people pairing it on shimano high end reels with phenix rods is kinda a fanboy base. You won’t even see a person throwing a jig on a Walmart rod because it’s lame. It’s all about looks these days
Do you add a spli ring on the front?
I use a snap or clasp. You can use a split ring but I found the clasp much more convenient.
This video was dope where can someone buy some of these light weight spoons all I have at my local Walmart are heavy kast masters

Thanks for watching. The 1.2 gram is money if you can throw it. Takes 2# line tho and not everyone can run it so it's an advantage.
you got barbless down to an art, man...
Thank you brother. Easy peazie! 🙌
Nice hook ups👊🎣👍
