    "We're made of melted water", water can melt?🤔

    • @cortster12
      @cortster12 6 років тому +2

      Frozen water when melted is melted water. Remember: water can be frozen, gaseous, or liquid.

    • @FumetsuNoAnataE
      @FumetsuNoAnataE 6 років тому +12

      Bose-Einstein water is not melted. The state of water is fluid, and cannot be melted. Applying heat will cause the liquid to evaporate. When water is in the frozen state, it is solid. From a solid form, it can be melted. From a solid only can something be melted. A liquid could have been melted from a solid, just like molten steel is 'melted' metal at a very high temperature. But the water in its liquid form is not inherently melted unless stated it was melted from a solid form.

    • @cortster12
      @cortster12 6 років тому +9

      +Benjamin Rivera
      You forget that everything is relative. There is no 'inherent' form of water. In the vacuum of space (due to extremely low pressure)), water is inherently a gas. On Mars, water is inherently a solid. Sure, water is commonly denoted as a liquid for the average person, but this is science we are talking about where you need to be more specific as to which phase you are speaking of.
      Oh, and even though the guy in the video is technically right by saying 'melted water', the 'we are made of' line is kinda strange. Don't think I am defending his strange word choices. I'm only responding to the specific question of op, which is "water can melt?".

    • @FumetsuNoAnataE
      @FumetsuNoAnataE 6 років тому +3

      Bose-Einstein I understand what you're saying and I'm correcting myself, the normal state of water to the average human being is liquid. Unless you live in Mars, or somewhere below the freezing point (his situation), the normal water state to the average human you're speaking to will know water as liquid. To the majority of the world, water is inherently known as liquid. I understand that where he lives, water might commonly be known as solid, so in his case it makes sense. But unless the water was previously frozen, saying, "melted water" is wrong in any situation. And that is because melted is the past tense of melt meaning that it was previously frozen. In his case, it's wrong because the water in our body was not previously frozen.
      I understand what you're saying now though. You're right. Water can melt when it's in its frozen state so unless it's state is otherwise mentioned, it can get a bit tricky. I misunderstood you good talking to you though👍🏻

    • @shtprof2000
      @shtprof2000 6 років тому +1

      Bose-Einstein he's is a spiritual person probably Christian. Ex. "He who believes in Me, as the Scripture said, 'From his innermost being will flow rivers of living water.'" Or "He sent from on high, He took me; He drew me out of many waters." I think that one is from Samuel, forgot the other one. But yeah a lot of water in religion so if your parched, ya know where to go, so to speak. Nothing about frozen waters. However, there are hints of talk about Antarctica it would seem in books that use to be in the Judaic Christian texts before the Council of Nicea.

    It’s amazing how you get correct string tension on the violin, bass and guitar from anchoring to ice....! -Genius-

    • @jirkabolech

      C'mon, Laurens. When I wrote strings I really meant strings (proper), not string instruments. Why do you think I am wearing the jester hat in my avatar picture?

    • @b.hagedash7973
      @b.hagedash7973 7 років тому +17

      It would be nice to hear the sound a violin's ice soundbox makes because as an electric instrument, apart from the aesthetic value, the body may as well be made of concrete.

    • @Luckingsworth
      @Luckingsworth 6 років тому +5

      B. Hagedash Yeah I was really looking forward to hearing the actual sound of the ice. I wonder if he has tried and it simply doesn't sound good, or he just lacks the knowedlege of instrument crafting.

      Someone posted that they use piezo pickups, not magnetic, so they do pick up the vibrations in the ice.

      You're an idiot, then. They do tune them, they just detune WHILE playing. You can't tune AND play at the same time.

    • @filmfreak988
      @filmfreak988 6 років тому +1

      You can't do that on an acoustic guitar, but you can easily do it on a fretless instrument, like the violin and bass that they have.
