Ive actually had a few conversations with life bricks because one of my friends ususally has him on their streams and I remember asking him something like “why are you buying so many battle packs” and he told me something along the lines of “Well if you buy all of them lego will make more of them for other people” I didn’t really think about it at the time but after I watched your segment on him I realized how flimsy that excuse really is

About a month ago, my younger brother (10 years old) said he was going to order a venator off of Republic Bricks (costing about 200 dollars I believe). I told him how Republic Bricks was a scam and that he shouldn't be supporting Timmy or his website. Even after I told him this, he said "I don't care". I think this PERFECTLY proves your point at 23:19 about how kids wont care about what Timmy does. I have since told my parents to not let him order anything from Republic Bricks, and my younger brother has not expressed buying anything from Republic Bricks since. Crisis averted?
I'd be glad to start a class action against RB Timmy, we have grounds on every consumer right everything from False Advertising and Harassment. Which would lead to discovery and that's where the fun begins we will start with PCI most major company's like Hilton, Marriot, Walmart and McDonalds violate these rules.
The crazy thing is Timmy's mom used to be one of my elementary teachers and he had come into our class one time to show off his lego star wars collection and plug his youtube channel. This was around 2017, so I think he was still in highschool. It's crazy to think about how much he's changed for the worst, kind of like what Cosmonaut said at the end of his video. I wonder if his mom knows what he's currently doing with his career and thinking about that truly saddens me because she was my favorite elementary school teacher, sweet but strict. Too bad she seems to not have been strict enough with Timmy. Unfortunately, I cannot disclose many more details just for the sake of keeping my and Timmy's family's personal information safe. I also don't want details to be used against timmy to threaten him.
There was a UA-camr named LifeofLego who used to attack and roast the hell out of clowns like Lifebricks and republicbricks but his account disappeared one day and I’ve never seen him again. Really good content.
The funniest sheet was this Lego SW youtuber who showed of his collection, continually said 'X set is bad, but I have to have all SW sets so I bought it anyway' over and over again. Absolutely killed me, what a chad consoomer.

It's always been expensive, but damn, they have been ramping up the prices fiercely these past few years, while some aspects of their production quality have even gone down. It is a bit of a shame, Lego is my childhood. And now they make sets that struggle to compare with competitors.
@@kiwwat4139it wasn’t always expensive, battle packs use to be 10 dollars, you would get bullied for liking legos back then. Sets were better priced. Some quality has gone down. I don’t collect much as an adult. The collection I have built as an adult I used my own money working for. I got sets all under 100 and bought loose figs online. I was doing it working jobs anyone can get with not the greatest hours. Still needed money for other stuff too. It’s just about being smart with your money. There’s a ton of great Lego sets for 20, or 30. Still and ik anyone with a job can afford that.
Finally somebody actually brings up that ugly and gaudy logo Republic Bricks puts on the back of his figs. I bought from him a decent bit before finding everything out. I think another issue is that he refuses to get any better. In quality, as a person he’ll always just be like that. He’s been doing UV printing for years and you think for a guy that posts his order list like a money spread you’d go to pad printing.
I mean the least republic bricks could do, is decent UV printing. Some huge companies do it, always have and did, but got so good with it from their printer or producer partner it is nearly as good looking as pad print or whatever.
MandR isn't as bad as he used to be, going to your point at the end I think he has changed. It is annoying when he brings up helmet holes so much, but overall I think he's more neutral than negative. Sometimes pretty positive, actually. In fact, he even praised the Obi-Wan versus Vader set from 2022 (which at the time of release nearly everyone hated). Most people would assume that his opinion is kinda the end-all-be-all for LEGO Star Wars, but him saying it was actually a fantastic set changed almost nobody's mind and the set continued getting a lot of hate. Just an example of when the community didn't "mindlessly follow" his opinion, as many people claim is always the case. I don't watch LifeBricks too much, so I can't really say much to that, other than I think his investing advice borders on hilariously bad (I made a video touching on that a while back 'cause it's just not the best). Republic Bricks, though, I completely agree. I've never been impressed with the quality of his builds when I've seen reviews on them, so never really wanted to buy any of his stuff anyways. But every time he's mentioned in a video the comments section lights up with people talking about how much they hate his business because it sucks more than anything they've ever seen before. Any inkling of a desire to maybe get something from him one day has been grounded up, set on fire and blasted into the stratosphere. Absolutely ZERO respect for RB.
I agree with you that M&R's content isn't *universally* negative. He gives plenty of sets very positive reviews when they deserve it, and i appreciate that. The issue that I have, however, is that his content tends to *emphasize* the negative aspects of Lego Star Wars. While he acknowledges positive things, the overall narrative he pushes is that Lego hates its fans, that modern Lego clones are bad, and if you like them you just aren't as serious of a fan as him, and...it doesn't really get more negative then that. As a result, I feel that M&R has created a culture of anger and bitterness in the fanbase as a whole, and has taught people that the only things worth talking about are the things we're unhappy with. That's ultimately why I stopped watching M&R, and turned to Jangbricks instead for Star Wars reviews, because Jang is still very critical and calls out issues with sets, but doesn't try to incite anger and bitterness the way Ryan does.

Goated video. Ngl I’ve been really turned off from the Lego community for the past 5 years. I’m friends with Colton (Just a kid that rants) and defended him when Ryan threatened him. Colton isn’t online as much anymore, but I can give you some more information about what happened if you’re curious.
Colton, who was 15 at the time, had made a few videos criticizing Ryan and a few other creators in the Lego community. In one of his videos, he made a distasteful joke about decapitating Ryan. Ryan took it out of context and made it sound like an actual death threat, and subsequently threatened to send the police to Colton’s house. How he obtained his address is still a mystery. Ryan later sent Colton a cease and desist letter (which was a self-made Google Doc instead of an actual legal notice) saying he would press charges because Colton was supposedly harassing him and defaming his character. Ryan never followed through with legal action.
Not to mention one thing, but he could 100% be accused of blackmail due to leaking public information he got through transactions. Idk how it is in the US, but that information is private and can't be used publicly.

I honestly didn't expect to watch the entire 38 minute long video but I got very hooked from the beginning to the end and I'm very thankful that you covered these topics. Thank you my good sir for speaking out about this and sharing. I also see how much time and effort you put into the editing making every second unique. I got most of the references and the quotes were hilarious in many ways. Some people build up their lives on glory, fame and greediness but they never learn from their mistakes and it's what I've seen with many people both inside and outside of the Lego community. I hope you'll continue to grow and I feel you're a very underrated commentary channel. Keep posting and don't give up brother. 👍
I still don't understand the mindset of people who treat these sets like gold investment. You gotta have two kinds of stupid to make it happen, one to buy the set with intent of reselling, and another to actually pay whatever ridiculous price they're asking for. Plus, if you just want nice display pieces or something, you could go down the off-brand route with things like MouldKing or buy something like a 3D printer. Either option is cheaper than buying the overly expensive UCS kits and will give something that you can enjoy building (and painting), plus looking good on a shelf.
A few years ago, I bought republic bricks brick head obi wan and the Jango fett slave one with Kamino pad… The total parts were around 900 pieces. I spent almost $200! And while yes the slave one was preordered It released a month after I ordered it I never got it until a whole year later and even then I was missing pieces and the instructions were ass

Kinda miss when Lego was more lowkey back in the early 2000s. I remember just watching Lego stop motion videos and that’s about it really. I’m mainly into Lego because I want to build my own collection to display in the future and eventually get into stop motion when I have time.
I think Solid Brix Studios its also one of the good lego sw channels, he isnt (as far as I know) greedy and all, he seems like he still has that solid passion for lego. Just mentioning it bc u didnt and I think its worth mentioning him

My only issue with solid bricks is he runs “minifigs 4 u” where he also kind of seems to copy popular clone makers/ do less quality for same or higher prices than say CAC or GCC or even Av figures who do way better work with their custom figures.

I used to be a fan of Mandr because I used to see the dude was genuinely passionate about his hobby, even making content cop style videos calling bad actors in the community, it is sad to see someone who was passionate become the thing he criticized.
I watched some of the reviews MandR did, and when I saw the RepublicBricks "UCS" Turbo Tank one, I knew to avoid the guy. It was basically the 2008 turbo tank tiled over. Just screamed lazy
Honestly I just want more Bionicle stuff...Not even sets; like Merch, Books maybe more serials. I LOVED the Tahu set and love the Bioincle easter eggs they put in their sets lately! I just really like Bionicle and feel like it became something of its own...as In I sometimes forget "Oh yeah Bionicle is a LEGO theme" its so unique and cool.
and here I thought Lego's biggest problem was the focus on licensed sets for adults sold at a premium price (with lowering brick quality, brittle brown anyone), thus alienating a younger demographic that will not grow up with the same fondness for the brand and not become adults ready to spend stupid amounts for a giant spaceship.
Been waiting for a video like this for a long time, funny enough I had compiled a lot of info on other individuals and situations that took place in the community over a year ago and had planned to make a video similar to this one day, taking the time to make something like this was really needed, really great job!
The one good thing I realized with the Star Wars community was why I bought Lego sets in the first place. I came for fun builds and characters I could put on display. They made me care about things like holding onto boxes and feeling bad about opening and building sets since they “could be worth something in the future”. It defeats the purpose of the whole product, just so a few people can take advantage for money. I’m still trying to break from these habits and mindset. I feel bad for kids who will grow up dealing with this kind of culture online.
What's wrong with pointing out when lego is cheaping out or being pressed by executives to push out stale product? A youtuber "bullying" a multibillion dollar corporation is the funniest shit I've heard.
Because we are aware when Lego screws up, like getting some figures innacurate printing for example or some unfair prices. But these UA-camrs make it look like having a flaw on a figure makes the entire set the worst thing in the world

I watch Ryan the most of any lego UA-camrs, jangbricks probably second most, but the videos you make are great. Well edited, opiniated (but that's your right), and pretty funny and informative. Ive purchased stuff from mandr's shop/whatnot, and have gotten good stuff, actually saving money in some cases due to bulk buying foilpacks, but republicbricks I got multiple mystery bags and got those mini boardgame figures instead of anything good. If you're gonna be a reseller/custom set seller, at least make it worth it darn you
i have done research and apparently the republic bricks mystery boxes all come with the cheapest thing the box could have, so if you do plan to get one again, see if the cheapest set in the box is more or less expensive than the mystery box so you know what to get

Honestly, I always knew about Timmy because I watch Ryan’s reviews. I never really batted an eye. I saw that others online were saying that the things they got weren’t that good. But you painted him in a way I have never seen before. The fact that he try’s all of these slimy tactics is so pathetic. Banger vid as always. Also, I like M&R. But he has his faults. Take it how you choose. But like I said, banger vid dude.
This is more of a problem for the lego Star Wars community, it does affect some of the other lego themes, but not to this extent. It’s such a shame too when you find a subject you like and want to support, only for to see very scummy people that are the equivalent to cockroachs. And I used to like this theme so much and I still do, but due to all of the controversies and evident laziness, it has been making me reconsider and go on to other subjects that the quote on quote “cochroachs” don’t like, which is the best recommendation for people who are starting with this community, try and keep a nice and balanced plate and don’t just put Star Wars all over it.
I think that not blurring the username of the guy at 6:45 was a bit of a stretch when it comes to the manner of quoting a random commenter (he might get sent death threats or something); and using a clip from a video showing his face and all is taking that to another level, especially because it brings nothing of purpose to the video. This video makes me glad that I never put too much stock into any content creator. I just watch their videos for entertainment or in curiosity. I still watch videos from MandR and LB, though it's mostly to see what SW sets would be retiring in the near future and what Lego news could be trickling down the pipeline. Never really saw either of them as the be-all-end-all for the Lego SW community. Of the three, I always saw RB as the most egregious based on his behavior and his shady business model, but he's not really unique when it comes that type of person being in the collector/toy/figure hobbies.

The community is toxic now. Did everyone forgot Lego use to the toy you would get made fun of for. Not much about the product has changed. People as soon as they turned 13 stopped buying legos. Said it’s a kids toy. I got sets as a kid and teen years on birthdays or Christmas. I wasn’t just gonna get a set. I’ve updated my mini fig collection by buying loose figs online. With a job I worked for. If I see a good set that’s on discount I’ll maybe pick it up. I honestly don’t see the point of being big into collecting as an adult. Because there’s more important things to buy and spend money on. Plus as an adult you wanna spend more money on things that will actually bring value. As an adult a Lego set doenst bring as much value as it use to, if any if I’m being honest. I display what I want and the figs I worked hard to get. I’m happy with that I don’t need a huge collection especially as an adult, something more subtle and looks nice for display. I don’t really see the point in investing in legos either. If you’re going to invest in anything as an adult. Invest in stocks that are gonna be guaranteed to do good. Buying a fig then waiting for 3 years for the price to go up. Is super slow investing with not much to gain. It might take 3 years for a fig to reach 200. With any basic job and enough hours you can make double that in a week or 2.
I don't exactly get what's wrong with MandR. Sure he seems kinda bitter but when you put into perspective how Lego claims to be a quality product but has been caught multiple times cutting corners and trying to nickel and dime people i think his anger is justified. He also doesn't just shill either and actually seems genuine about his passion in the community as a whole. Then again that's just me i don't even play with Lego anymore.
I'm not sure about MandR.As some other people have said he has definitely taken a shift over to the more neutral part of the scale. His main problem is that he has a definite bias against Lego due to some questionable actions against him in the past and also his harsher mindset towards the prequel sets, specifically clones .As you can see in his videos he generally is much more critical about the clone minifigures than others. Overall these factors make him somewhat overreact about the clone trooper figures and other aspects of Lego.He does have good reviews however they have a, while less so than the past, heavier focus on the negatives than most .If you want a truly neutral reviewer for star wars sets both Jangbricks And Solid Brix Studios generally have much more balanced content highlighting both the positives and the negatives, though Solid Brix Studios would be the more "biased" of the two as unlike Jang, he receives sets from the LAN program. Republic Bricks and Life Bricks are both bad with the former being a full blown scam artist and the latter using giveaways dangled in front of fans as a way of gaining popularity.Overall while all three mentioned in the video have their flaws I'd say MandR is definitely the least bad out of the three.

When I watch lego content, I watch R.R. Slugger, DuckBricks, BrickCrafts, or whatever channels upload "obscure history of this specific retired lego color that only 2 people care about" Last lego sets I bought were all six of the lego city space sets for 2024, set me back $400 but I regret nothing. (still haven't made anymore sizable lego purchases since I'm financially recovering from that tho) I absolutely hate lego UA-camrs who say "man, I hate lego sets nowadays, back when I was a kid, sets were soooooo much better because of this arbitrary thing I liked better" And yeah, I don't like people worshipping The Lego Group and worshipping their every whim, but you can't just look at everything through rose-colored glasses. I have a lot of love for old lego sets and a lot of nostalgia for the themes I grew up with, but I'm not gonna sit back and say "It was all better back in my days!", except when it comes to original themes... those were better back in my day...
Ryan "mand r productions" is the reason i stopped keeping up with lego star wars, aside from a general disinterest in whatever starwars itself is doing these days, ryan would just find the best way to make every new starwars thing miserable. I now follow jacob "CheesyStudios" who in my opinion has the best content talking not about new stuff but old lego things too

The crazy thing is Timmy's mom used to be one of my elementary teachers and he had come into our class one time to show off his lego star wars collection and plug his youtube channel. This was around 2017, so I think he was still in highschool. It's crazy to think about how much he's changed for the worst, kind of like what Cosmonaut said at the end of his video. I wonder if his mom knows what he's currently doing with his career and thinking about that truly saddens me because she was my favorite elementary school teacher, sweet but strict. Too bad she seems to not have been strict enough with Timmy.

It's always been expensive, but damn, they have been ramping up the prices fiercely these past few years, while some aspects of their production quality have even gone down.

I don’t collect much as an adult. The collection I have built as an adult I used my own money working for. I got sets all under 100 and bought loose figs online. I was doing it working jobs anyone can get with not the greatest hours. Still needed money for other stuff too. It’s just about being smart with your money. There’s a ton of great Lego sets for 20, or 30. Still and ik anyone with a job can afford that.

Finally somebody actually brings up that ugly and gaudy logo Republic Bricks puts on the back of his figs. I bought from him a decent bit before finding everything out. I think another issue is that he refuses to get any better. In quality, as a person he’ll always just be like that. He’s been doing UV printing for years and you think for a guy that posts his order list like a money spread you’d go to pad printing.
I mean the least republic bricks could do, is decent UV printing. Some huge companies do it, always have and did, but got so good with it from their printer or producer partner it is nearly as good looking as pad print or whatever.

MandR isn't as bad as he used to be, going to your point at the end I think he has changed. It is annoying when he brings up helmet holes so much, but overall I think he's more neutral than negative. Sometimes pretty positive, actually.
In fact, he even praised the Obi-Wan versus Vader set from 2022 (which at the time of release nearly everyone hated). Most people would assume that his opinion is kinda the end-all-be-all for LEGO Star Wars, but him saying it was actually a fantastic set changed almost nobody's mind and the set continued getting a lot of hate. Just an example of when the community didn't "mindlessly follow" his opinion, as many people claim is always the case.
I don't watch LifeBricks too much, so I can't really say much to that, other than I think his investing advice borders on hilariously bad (I made a video touching on that a while back 'cause it's just not the best).
Republic Bricks, though, I completely agree. I've never been impressed with the quality of his builds when I've seen reviews on them, so never really wanted to buy any of his stuff anyways. But every time he's mentioned in a video the comments section lights up with people talking about how much they hate his business because it sucks more than anything they've ever seen before. Any inkling of a desire to maybe get something from him one day has been grounded up, set on fire and blasted into the stratosphere. Absolutely ZERO respect for RB.

I agree with you that M&R's content isn't *universally* negative. He gives plenty of sets very positive reviews when they deserve it, and i appreciate that. The issue that I have, however, is that his content tends to *emphasize* the negative aspects of Lego Star Wars. While he acknowledges positive things, the overall narrative he pushes is that Lego hates its fans, that modern Lego clones are bad, and if you like them you just aren't as serious of a fan as him, and...it doesn't really get more negative then that.
As a result, I feel that M&R has created a culture of anger and bitterness in the fanbase as a whole, and has taught people that the only things worth talking about are the things we're unhappy with.
That's ultimately why I stopped watching M&R, and turned to Jangbricks instead for Star Wars reviews, because Jang is still very critical and calls out issues with sets, but doesn't try to incite anger and bitterness the way Ryan does.

Colton, who was 15 at the time, had made a few videos criticizing Ryan and a few other creators in the Lego community. In one of his videos, he made a distasteful joke about decapitating Ryan. Ryan took it out of context and made it sound like an actual death threat, and subsequently threatened to send the police to Colton’s house. How he obtained his address is still a mystery.
Ryan later sent Colton a cease and desist letter (which was a self-made Google Doc instead of an actual legal notice) saying he would press charges because Colton was supposedly harassing him and defaming his character. Ryan never followed through with legal action.
I thought this would talk about the astronomical prices which kids cannot imagine to pay.

I honestly didn't expect to watch the entire 38 minute long video but I got very hooked from the beginning to the end and I'm very thankful that you covered these topics. Thank you my good sir for speaking out about this and sharing. I also see how much time and effort you put into the editing making every second unique. I got most of the references and the quotes were hilarious in many ways. Some people build up their lives on glory, fame and greediness but they never learn from their mistakes and it's what I've seen with many people both inside and outside of the Lego community. I still don't understand the mindset of people who treat these sets like gold investment. You gotta have two kinds of stupid to make it happen, one to buy the set with intent of reselling, and another to actually pay whatever ridiculous price they're asking for. Plus, if you just want nice display pieces or something, you could go down the off-brand route with things like MouldKing or buy something like a 3D printer. Either option is cheaper than buying the overly expensive UCS kits and will give something that you can enjoy building (and painting), plus looking good on a shelf.
A few years ago, I bought republic bricks brick head obi wan and the Jango fett slave one with Kamino pad… The total parts were around 900 pieces. I spent almost $200! And while yes the slave one was preordered It released a month after I ordered it I never got it until a whole year later and even then I was missing pieces and the instructions were ass

Kinda miss when Lego was more lowkey back in the early 2000s. I remember just watching Lego stop motion videos and that’s about it really. I’m mainly into Lego because I want to build my own collection to display in the future and eventually get into stop motion when I have time.

The one good thing I realized with the Star Wars community was why I bought Lego sets in the first place. I came for fun builds and characters I could put on display. They made me care about things like holding onto boxes and feeling bad about opening and building sets since they “could be worth something in the future”. It defeats the purpose of the whole product, just so a few people can take advantage for money. I’m still trying to break from these habits and mindset. I watch Ryan the most of any lego UA-camrs, jangbricks probably second most, but the videos you make are great. Well edited, opiniated (but that's your right), and pretty funny and informative. Ive purchased stuff from mandr's shop/whatnot, and have gotten good stuff, actually saving money in some cases due to bulk buying foilpacks, but republicbricks I got multiple mystery bags and got those mini boardgame figures instead of anything good. If you're gonna be a reseller/custom set seller, at least make it worth it darn you
i have done research and apparently the republic bricks mystery boxes all come with the cheapest thing the box could have, so if you do plan to get one again, see if the cheapest set in the box is more or less expensive than the mystery box so you know what to get

Honestly, I always knew about Timmy because I watch Ryan’s reviews. I never really batted an eye. I saw that others online were saying that the things they got weren’t that good. But you painted him in a way I have never seen before. The fact that he try’s all of these slimy tactics is so pathetic. Banger vid as always. Also, I like M&R. But he has his faults. Take it how you choose. But like I said, banger vid dude.
This is more of a problem for the lego Star Wars community, it does affect some of the other lego themes, but not to this extent. It’s such a shame too when you find a subject you like and want to support, only for to see very scummy people that are the equivalent to cockroachs. And I used to like this theme so much and I still do, but due to all of the controversies and evident laziness, it has been making me reconsider and go on to other subjects that the quote on quote “cochroachs” don’t like, which is the best recommendation for people who are starting with this community, try and keep a nice and balanced plate and don’t just put Star Wars all over it.

This video makes me glad that I never put too much stock into any content creator. I just watch their videos for entertainment or in curiosity. I still watch videos from MandR and LB, though it's mostly to see what SW sets would be retiring in the near future and what Lego news could be trickling down the pipeline. Never really saw either of them as the be-all-end-all for the Lego SW community. Of the three, I always saw RB as the most egregious based on his behavior and his shady business model, but he's not really unique when it comes that type of person being in the collector/toy/figure hobbies.

The community is toxic now. Did everyone forgot Lego use to the toy you would get made fun of for. Not much about the product has changed. People as soon as they turned 13 stopped buying legos. Said it’s a kids toy. I got sets as a kid and teen years on birthdays or Christmas. I wasn’t just gonna get a set. I’ve updated my mini fig collection by buying loose figs online. With a job I worked for. If I see a good set that’s on discount I’ll maybe pick it up. I honestly don’t see the point of being big into collecting as an adult. Because there’s more important things to buy and spend money on. Plus as an adult you wanna spend more money on things that will actually bring value. As an adult a Lego set doenst bring as much value as it use to, if any if I’m being honest. I display what I want and the figs I worked hard to get. I’m happy with that I don’t need a huge collection especially as an adult, something more subtle and looks nice for display. I don’t really see the point in investing in legos either. If you’re going to invest in anything as an adult. Invest in stocks that are gonna be guaranteed to do good. Buying a fig then waiting for 3 years for the price to go up. Is super slow investing with not much to gain. It might take 3 years for a fig to reach 200. With any basic job and enough hours you can make double that in a week or 2.

Sure he seems kinda bitter but when you put into perspective how Lego claims to be a quality product but has been caught multiple times cutting corners and trying to nickel and dime people i think his anger is justified.

I'm not sure about MandR.As some other people have said he has definitely taken a shift over to the more neutral part of the scale. His main problem is that he has a definite bias against Lego due to some questionable actions against him in the past and also his harsher mindset towards the prequel sets, specifically clones .As you can see in his videos he generally is much more critical about the clone minifigures than others. Overall these factors make him somewhat overreact about the clone trooper figures and other aspects of Lego.He does have good reviews however they have a, while less so than the past, heavier focus on the negatives than most .If you want a truly neutral reviewer for star wars sets both Jangbricks And Solid Brix Studios generally have much more balanced content highlighting both the positives and the negatives, though Solid Brix Studios would be the more "biased" of the two as unlike Jang, he receives sets from the LAN program. Republic Bricks and Life Bricks are both bad with the former being a full blown scam artist and the latter using giveaways dangled in front of fans as a way of gaining popularity.Overall while all three mentioned in the video have their flaws I'd say MandR is definitely the least bad out of the three.

honestly I don’t hate ryan. I think he’s an entertaining person, and I like his vlogs. he is too pessimistic though. I do hate the other two.

When I watch lego content, I watch R.R. Slugger, DuckBricks, BrickCrafts, or whatever channels upload "obscure history of this specific retired lego color that only 2 people care about"
Last lego sets I bought were all six of the lego city space sets for 2024, set me back $400 but I regret nothing. (still haven't made anymore sizable lego purchases since I'm financially recovering from that tho)
I absolutely hate lego UA-camrs who say "man, I hate lego sets nowadays, back when I was a kid, sets were soooooo much better because of this arbitrary thing I liked better" And yeah, I don't like people worshipping The Lego Group and worshipping their every whim, but you can't just look at everything through rose-colored glasses. I have a lot of love for old lego sets and a lot of nostalgia for the themes I grew up with, but I'm not gonna sit back and say "It was all better back in my days!", except when it comes to original themes... those were better back in my day...
Ryan "mand r productions" is the reason i stopped keeping up with lego star wars, aside from a general disinterest in whatever starwars itself is doing these days, ryan would just find the best way to make every new starwars thing miserable. I now follow jacob "CheesyStudios" who in my opinion has the best content talking not about new stuff but old lego things too
Nothing will ever make me as happy as typing in Republicbricks into UA-cam and just seeing a sea of scam warning videos
Your video is good overall, but I struggle to share it with friends because many of the anime memes you used are annoying. Honestly they make it hard for me to watch this video.

Don’t know what it was but before m and r productions rubbed me the wrong way a bit then when he had his children audience bombard LEGO until they made the set HE wanted I lost more respect and a side complaint one video he explained a lady needed an ambulance and went to their house I think and in the blue and red lights his little brother was dancing up a storm like it was a disco party and he didn’t say nothing, if that’s not disrespectful then I apologize but to me personally that seems messed up but I don’t understand social cues as well as other people so it’s probably not a big deal
