I noticed that the expert is using a small green bottle for powder at 4:29 - 4:34, and i'm pretty sure he doesn't know what he has there. I immediately recognized it as a U.S. WWII QM Graves Registration Burial Identification Bottle made by Owens Glass Company! These bottles are meant for Killed American Soldiers! They would put a piece of paper with personal information in the bottle, seal it, then it was placed under the left armpit of the deceased, and then buried in a temporary grave. A really interesting piece of History!!

Second of all If I was the guy, regardless if the expert would've been honest or not from the get go and said 5000. finding such pistols in firing condition is quite common..they are sold in auction houses and sometimes at affordable prices if finish is not good.
