Float Ledgering For Bream & Skimmers - Part One
We recently fished a short session at a relatively forgotten lake; Shallowbrook Snipe lake. We decided to fish on Snipe Lake as the main meadow lake was very busy! The lake is very deep, so we decided to attempt to fish the 'slider' float!
As you'll see from the video we managed a few fish...
    Thanks for watching

*I bought these as a recommendation by a friend. Super light and extremely sensitive. I bought the 1/2oz first and then the 3/8oz both work well for jigging and flies with braided line.*

Haha, yeah thats right Steven! No worries, to be honest there's lots of great float rods on the market now for probably half that price! Worth doing a bit of research on google etc to try and find out the one whats most suitable for what you plan to use it for.

As sometimes its nice to fish something different, sometimes its nice to watch the tip of a float! :-)

No worries Potter! The rod we used in this video is a Daiwa Connossiuer Waggler Rod, its quite a few years old now and I don't think its available anymore! There are some other good models from Daiwa which have replaced it though :-)

I know this is an old vid,but just wanted to say. You can use these floats with pva bags, no need for clipping up. Well done for upload

Does the Polaris lay flat before line tension is applied? Because if so, this wasn't demonstrated and I've heard polaris will also register a bite laying the float flat

I'm not 100% sure Geoffrey, this was filmed years ago now! I'll have a word with Steve for you.

I can't remember now mate, it was so long ago! I think it was just a site of the internet though. Try googling printed hoodies or something, I'm sure there'll be a tonne of results. :-)

Another video you don't show the floats action , why don't you show the float

We do now! This was filmed 7-8 years ago on a mobile phone, which had no zoom feature. We done the best we could with the equipment we had, we weren't professionals! Just two mates, one fishing, one with a camera phone. I hope if you watch some of our newer video's you'll appreciate how much the quality has moved on.
