Rodrigo,...THIS IS brilliant! I have been manually going in and separating your videos for a while now so I can extract just the sections that I want to cover my areas of interest. Seeing it already done here is really cool but man,...I know that you are putting in so many hours into this stuff already so I just wanted to say thanks for this!
If just hitting beyond my middle years wasn't depressing enough, I found myself spiraling into a creative depression due to my realization that I have not accomplished my creative goals as a cartoonist/comic strip artist. I hit a crossroads in my life where I could let my fulltime corporate artist gig push me further into a depression or regain what remains of my life and prepare for the second chapter refocusing on MY passion and quest for a comic strip or children's book series.
The first part of my rebirth was to remove old bad habits developed in my youth from poor instruction and my own lack of understanding of the human form and posing. I immediately was reminded as to why and how my own lack of understanding was cultivated as witnessed by the myriad of poor instruction plaguing the internet and universities. There HAD to be a simpler, more logical way to get the core principles of drawing the human form through my thick skull!
That's where YOU came in to the picture. One day I just happened upon your UA-cam Channel and it was like a revelation had hit me right between the eyes! There it was! RodGon "the artist" to the rescue! With a no nonsense and uncomplicated approach, you break things down in ways that an artist can easily "and FINALLY" relate to. You always provide SEVERAL different approaches and tricks to achieve the same successful result because YOU UNDERSTAND that we as artists all learn differently! I learn by simplistic, easy to remember processes AND repetition as well and it's really cool that you often repeat the same techniques and drive it into us almost as if you KNOW that many of us need that form of training to get it through!
Personally my style is centered around simplistic funny animal characters but I have been around this rodeo long enough to know that REGARDLESS of whatever it is that you want to draw,..YOU MUST FIRST understand the core principles of the body and form! That has plagued me for years and with your lessons I'm starting to see an entirely new world open up to me where I can begin to execute the posing from my head to paper! This is very liberating and your book on Drawing will have a prominent place on my bookshelf WITHOUT QUESTION! I will have to buy a few copies so that I can make notes and sketch overlays on the pages without worry.
I sincerely thank you for all of the time and effort that you have put into your lessons...
and for understanding what so many of us artists have been wanting for decades!
