He ROCKED this song into the stratosphere, & by the way, who ever filmed this---did an incredibly awesome job---love, love, LOVIN' the GREAT close-ups---good job--thanks for sharing! :)
What concert did YOU go to?? For a 2 hour and 38 minute performance, I thought Jon was quite energetic. He certainly had the entire arena on its feet. If you want more flash with no substance, stick to one of the "young" bands that won't last a decade, let alone two (+). This is a quality band with great vocals who gives 100% in their performance. Who cares how old they are?
If you watch other videos from the tour, he is singing songs that he did 20+ years ago when he could sing 1-2 octaves higher. He is busting his butt singing this song and Always. Why do you think he doesn't sing She Don't Know Me or Never Say Goodbye? He's an amazing performer and I have seen them the New Years Eve show in NJ in 1986/87. Legends...
They played 'Never Say Goodbye 'several times on the last tour acoustically. I dont think they have played 'She Dont Know Me' for many many years. Jon has said he doesnt like their second album 7800 Fareheit and has only played Only Lonely and Tokyo Road off of it the past 4 or 5 tours only a handful of times.
I agree completely. Jon moved around the stage more when he HAD the leg brace than he is now. And early in the tour? If that's true, it's a first, because Jon's never started slow like this before. Look I've been a follower for 27 years now....ive seen the band in no less than 6 states, and have more bon jovi memorabilia in my home than I care to admit, but I'm just trying to be real here. The voice, I understand, but the lack of stage activity is new on this tour, and it's quite sad.
might not be age. considering the weather, and the fact that he has blown out his left knee/calf twice in the last couple of years, he could be having pain issues as well
No need to curse Those are all excuses. Look at Mick Jagger or Steven Tyler, these guys are full of energy and move all over the stage. BTW, that injury was two years ago. It's about keeping in great shape and having the fire in your heart to give your fans the best show.I just dont think he has that anymore.
Hes right. Look at all the videos from this tour so far. Darn near looks like Jon grew roots by the mic stand... No where NEAR as active as he has been on previous tours..... Can't blame it on age..... Look at Jagger. Jon's voice is shot too, watching him sing anything even a little above his range is painful. I love this band, but realistically, this ain't lookin good.
what a bad singing Jon!!! and god knows i'm a huge fan since the really beginning, but the audience pays an expensive ticket to hear the high notes you know? not the duck voice you use since 10 years now... yes, you have a tour to do, but the audience pays, always!!!
I cant stop listening to jon he bets them all...
