I love Yuja! She's such a great role model. She shows that you can be hot and get a lot of hot guy fans who will call you a great artist. Maybe one day I will be this awesome...
What you are saying is that LL has got banging and theatricality and Yuja has got only banging. That almost sounds like she is ahead by one, but then we have the complication of that there is banging and then there is banging...
can people PLEASE stop saying ''prokofiev is like rock music!!''? It's just embarrassing to see the classical tradition having fallen so much that people have to make up insane crap like that just to make classical sound hip and cool. It's almost as if Yuja doesn't get to decide for herself what to say in these interviews because it's ridiculous how much her thoughts just seem to want to commercialize classical music and make it profitable. Is there any relevance in relating classical music to pop music? No. There is seriously not, there two entirely different fields where popular influence on classical has been damaging as hell. Thanks to this we have to deal with horrible ''new age'' composers that don't understand anything about historical significance or musical value. Capitalism and profit motives are killing our culture.
Well, the elitism of insisting that classical music is aesthetically and morally superior to pop music is certainly not going to encourage new people to investigate it. And perhaps you're not aware of it, but musicians have to make a living just like anyone else. Talking about the evils of trying to make money from art music is all well and good if you don't have to worry about how to pay rent and buy groceries. But that isn't the case for anyone, and pretending that isn't the case only causes more problems for both musicians and listeners; there's little point to performing if there is no audience.. And the truth is, good pop or rock music is more enjoyable than bad classical music (and yes, there IS bad classical music), and pretending one can't learn from talented people in other genres is foolish and closed-minded.
+TM Chung I used to think that..dislike her fashion...but now I have move on and judge only her ability and what she is saying. She likes to wear diff. images, that's all.
I love you Yuja! ♥
You have my heart.
She is so beautiful as the music she plays.
That's all I hear is choir of words and beautiful angel voices when I hear instramental music
The music is all that matters. Everything else is superfluous.
Great video you should make more.

Can't wait to see her in Princeton!
YES! she's finally coming to NJ!!! :)
She just took my breath away ....
Além de excelente pianista, Yuja encanta com sua presença 'extraterrestre'. Encantadora, em todos os sentidos!

This look has destroyed her image. You have to be yourself before you can demonstrate the best in you.
