How ironic. The last girl with the cheapest outfit looked the most elegant AND expensive... it’s not what you wear. It’s how you wear it
The last girl's new pieces were fast fashion, but her coat was Sisley and her bag was Lanvin -- hand me downs from her mother and aunt. I don't think they can be described as cheap TBH. I also suspect the women in her family have amazing closets. Lucky girl. But I agree, the last girl had the best and most cohesive style.
The first girl's outfit was the only one where I think they priced it out accurately. But her style is all over the place. I think she also overspent on certain things, like her cargo pants.
The second girl's outfit isn't really a $6000 outfit. The retail price for her handmade jewelry inflated it. Plus, they gave her full price on an weathered 10-year-old belt and some beat-up boots. I think resale on her outfit is closer to $500, excluding the jewelry. I thought it was cute though.

Exactly. Being a director in Harper's, I wonder how she got the job. She is pairing dark with dark. That skirt would have looked so good with a lemon or mint or any other lighter shade!!! It's actually sad how they are all monochromatic.
The last girl didn't spend so much as received vintage handmedowns. She understands the value of these brands and instead of buying them at full price, she price hunts.

not designer not somewhere like goodwill, forever21, rue 21, etc. but those other clothing retail stores you find in malls that are priced approximately 50-100 dollars for each clothing piece are the best stores to be shopping at don't go to high or too little keep in mind her last outfit wasn't streetwear but wasn't a "nice outfit" either it was something in the middle so I disagree if you go to cheap like streetwear from goodwill unless you are going for that look that doesn't look so good

tbh i just got to the first outfit and i wouldn't have even paid $500 for those pants. the whole outfit looks like it was from forever 21 and I was shook when that was the first outfit of the video! I wasn't expecting that at all and that proves that a name brand isn't everything!

i loved all the pieces from the first girls outfit, especially the cargos, but i dont think they worked together, second girl outfit is my favorite very romantic and flattering, third girl i think the shoes clashed with the rest but other wise really chic

The first girl needs a lint roller ASAP. I totally get the cargos, heels and puffer together but the shades, black hoody and the mini bag look odd.

i’ve noticed that a lot of these expensive clothes only look expensive in public. when i see them in person, quality is apparent. however, if the fit is poor as it is on the models in this video (one too tight, one too dumpy/frumpy) it really matters not how much the clothing costs, it just looks cheap.
The second girls outfit was the best in regards to style & sophistication, cool boots, gorgeous vintage reversible skirt & her jewelry was unique. I didn’t think the white boots went with the coat & jumpsuit on the second girl. I didn’t like the first girls outfit, the beige colour of the puffer jacket was too blah, just a mishmash of styles as well!

It's the crystals, as well as the fact that she probably went to a Japanese nail salon. Very subtle design, great shape, most likely Japanese... $140 makes sense. You wouldn't understand this unless you're part of that nail culture.

Good for you, to find less expensive version of the wedding you crave -- and have it come out so beautiful! It's so much fun to watch wedding fashion videos like this.
I only wish I could do the same kind of shopping, and that it would look so amazing.
But for me, a $300 pair of shoes (even at half price+) is my clothing budget for 3+ months.
But I absolutley don't begrudge people who can afford to spend like this.
From what I've seen, life very randomly gives lemons and lemonades. So yay! on thrift store/resale efforts.
Thrift store/ charity shops are my fashion go-to. I've found so many great pieces at thrift stores over the year -- not to mention craft supplies, housewares, furniture, gardening, holidays, collectibles.... you name it. I can't provide the 4 Seasons Georgetown. Or laughably close.
My goal at home is to host my cherished guests who can't tell from my house, my wardrobe, or my hospitality that I'm struggling.
Or if they do, are too polite to say so.
A couple of people -- almost always, new folks I don't know by name -- often show up with unexpected health care produced, or plans for
"plus ones and 2, or more, often ages 12+ who hate being dragged along, and want to be sure everyone knows it.
This is as personal bummer.
Not to mention that it blows my grocery budget for 2 weeks.
The cheapest outfit is the best outfit out of all three. The first one is all the way trash. Such a bad outfit.

@@pagethreemodel I don't think that's true.. I was trying to sale back a Rolex that I brought online. I took it to the Real Real in order to resell at a higher value. After checking the Rolex they determined although it was real the diamonds were removed and the ones on the watch were not the originals. They decided not to accept my watch. I think when you are not buying new there is always the potential for deceit. If they have sold fakes it's most likely they were deceived as well. I don't work for them nor do I have any affiliations with them. Just being honest. I know Chanel is sueing them. I also heard that Chanel themselves have been deceived by people buying the real thing and returning fakes. Some fakes are hard to detect.

GIRL in the FIRST OUTFIT here. Style is a personal experience. A subjective showcase. A reflection of what makes the person wearing it feel good. In LINT-COVERED Monse cargos, I feel AH-mazing. Wearing a pint-sized Jacquemus bag that carries all my mini essentials, I feel good. Wearing a hoodie by a talented black designer whose clothes are coupled with powerful messaging, I feel good. Saying the word SWAGGY makes a bitch feel good too. I feel good in all of those things, and I feel good in ANYTHING, because I feel good about myself. But please continue commenting, because engagement is v important on UA-cam. 💗

It's so weird to me that people would proudly wear designer handbags even if they are in bad condition. Let's be real, if that was a non-designer item they would have tossed it into the garbage in a heartbeat, but because it's designer they keep it because it's "vintage" and apparently 10 times cooler. I absolutely love the idea of a handbag that is so good quality that it can be passed down from mother to daughter, but I would not try to act stylish and then wear a bag that is clearly old and dirty, even if it's a Chanel. If your bag is in bad shape and has sentimental value, bring it to a professional to clean and repare.
That bag doesn't look remotely dirty, it's in great condition, it looks like it could hold everything a women could need for the whole day comfortably, and the neutral and green tones go with lots of different outfits.
You have no idea what you're talking about, you don't know what quality is. While some may not understand that, or have the privelige to ignore it, fashion is just as much about function as form.
When the third outfit looks more than the first two combined..

They'll fall apart in less than a year of regular wear and fit poorly, congrats. Some of the clothing in this video is years or even decades old and still look new. A shirt from walmart will stretch and lose color after the first wash.
That's not a brag. Those brands are directly contributing to world wide pollution, waste and unethical working conditions. I understand it's what most have access to but just try finding quality through ethical brands and thrifting or vintage. You will spend the same but for much better quality.

Most of this outfits you can pull off at a tjmax or Marshalls store seriously for 95% off the price and find cute stuff as well so it how you wear the stuff and the taste not just brand.

I’m fairly confident I’ll go my whole life without ever owning a pair of $695 shoes, let alone describing them as “a little pricey”. I know it’s the whole point of this series, but it’s really staggering how high the prices for some if these items are, and how out of touch their owners seem.
