My first few days at my new job (while recovering from Covid) have been intense, but it’s sure nice to relax after work & watch some fragcomm videos! 🙏🙏🙏
Glad you are on the mend Rachel... it took about a week for me to be back at 80 or 90% but about a month to kick that last 10 to 20% and get to 100%%

Totally can see that... any of these AlD with the real musk & Oud & Rose should sit at the top... especially when you take into acct the crap these mega conglomorates are pushing on the public... like I said in the review... a fraghead dream fragrance 🌹🌹🌹
@@RamseytheRam I doubt anything like Malik Al Ta’if will ever be done again.
The point you make about musks…synthetic musks are just completely different and have nothing whatsoever to do with real musks. I love deer musk, and musk ambrette. Synthetic musks are very different, and of course not 1% as good as the real musk.
Yeah afrer experience the real thing it is very tough to go back ... but thats why it exists there isnt enough real desk on planet to go around

Always thrilled to hear your thoughts on Areej compositions,like yourself I was late to discover the house so I missed out on early offerings,this being one of them. I reckon he will put the new Indian sourced role oil into the new line so ,that’s a great introduction to Get to sample it in its unique form and profile.cheers Rams take it easy 👍🙏✌️

I got home from work and fell asleep to this video and had a fever dream of rose heaven. Russian Adam is truly a wizard. I’m so stoked for you that you got to experience this incredible composition. That’s the difference between fragrances and perfumers that are really about the art, it’s an olfactive experience.

Amazing fragrance by one of the top Artisan, praying Russian Adams to re-release it under classic collection series! Tried quite a few times from a friend's bottle and always wanted it! However I can recommend you to try two alternatives of Malik Al Taif, Juriah (attar) by Sultan Pasha & Oud Damascena by Katana Parfums! Thanks Ramsey for another great video, you are doing a great service for the community bro, reviewing perfumes not many does!! ❤️

Interesting you say it feels royal, during the summer months when it is extremely hot in Riyadh the Saudi Royal family and entourage reside in Taif , due to the high altitude it is much cooler .Ideal conditions for the Damask rose, once spent a weekend in Taif. Nothing of note other than every dessert has either rose scent or dried petals.
Ohhhh I love rose water.... my mother used to make this custard with rose water that was soooo good 🌹🌹🌹

If I have the opportunity to buy a decant of Malik Al Taif, I will.
So the Rose has the main role in that art perfume.
Fragrances with that Rose and Oud combo are very good for winter nights.

This is like no rose oud I have ever smelled ... the Taif Rose plays the lead while the oud hangs in the background .. its just glorious and fulfils its mission to the fullest... its just very very hard to find 🌹

Ahhhh yes Thank you Geoff... EO3 is legendary... Russian Adam has some competition... I like that Russian Adam wants to be fair with the prices...he could take the Ensar Route & charge 1000s ... and people would pay it... but I think because of his faith he stays true to who he is & what he belives in 🙏🙏🙏

Yes Ensar's compositions are very expensive, he should charge less. But it's my humble believe that Ensar uses more exclusive ingredients! Like the vintage Taif rose he used in EO3 came directly from Sultan Qaboos’ (late king of Oman) private archives. That's the highest quality you could ask for maybe. EO3 is my favourite Rose-Oud-musk composition of all time. Malik Al Taif is excellent as well, I tried it few times but couldn't secure a bottle! Thanks!

I think so mate. I just talk to rich and he said is the square bottle or rectangular I think its the latter so hope it's not a dud
As long as its the Eau de Cologne version you are good to go....whether its the really old splash or spray doesnt matter .. the EDT may be fine I have just never smelled it so I cant vouch for it... I think you scored one of the most underrated Leather scents of all time 🤌🤌🤌

OMG! I got my sample of Areej le Doré's Malik Al Taif today! Do I love it? In a word.... NO! 🤣
Why? Ramsey, I'm kind of trembling writing to you because Malik Al Taif caught me way off-guard. A long time ago I got a bottle of Comme des Garcons 2MAN. That was when Raymond Chandler called it, "transcendent." For me, at the time, it was transcendent. I love smoke and 2MAN was pure smoke. They have since changed the formula and I hate it now.
My only other bottle of perfume is Liz Claiborne's Curve. It's sweet, flowery, and powdery. I love it. Very fem but I know you frag heads look down on cheap synthetics, as you should.
So what is my first impression of Malik Al Taif? Remember, be forgiving with my impressions. I am a total newbie. I smell something I've never smelled before, something that you describe on your channel and I'm dumbfounded. The first top notes I smelled were flowers, perhaps roses, perhaps not, and this funky barnyard smell. What? !!!
It smelled like I was wearing my Liz Claiborne Curve for 3 days, not taking a bath, and I was living in a barn, with hay and piss and manure. I'm speechless. The other strong scent I get is lemongrass. I'm not attracted to lemony scents but it's there and I guess from what I've heard from you, the lemon is from the Taif rose. Correct me if I'm wrong.
At the moment, that's all I'm smelling, barn yard, flowers, and lemongrass. I can't identify many smells because I'm not trained. I don't know, for instance, what oud smells like. Is that real deer musk I smell? It's kind of gross.
My thoughts are this. I think that Malik Al Taif is a masterpiece but I can not tell you why. I'm used to kid's drawings and I just sprayed on a Vermeer, or is it a Picasso? I'm amazed and stupefied in equal parts. I've always said that I don't like perfumes but I've always wondered why. Malik Al Taif doesn't smell like perfume. It smells natural, both intoxicating and offensive.
I've only got a couple of spritzes in my sample but it's money well spent. I would've never discovered Areej le Doré and Russian Adam without you, Ramsey. Thank you. I will let you know how my thoughts and feelings change about this. So far, I'm on the fence. I'm blinded and I can't see the light.

@@RamseytheRam So that's what oud smells like? I thought it was real deer musk. I hope I stay in the game long enough. I don't have a lot of money and I would rather have one bottle of perfection than 20 bottles of imperfection. But Malik Al Taif is way above my line of sight. I'm kicking myself because I want to understand and I don't. It's like someone looking at a Picasso. As I've said before, I love feminine scents. I think Malik Al Taif could be my feminine scent, if I were a millionaire and could afford this masterpiece. Maybe you could convince Russian Adam into making more of it? I know, stupid me. Since everything is natural the raw materials will never be exactly the same. Also, I got three samples by Frederic Malle. Carnal Rose, Portrait of a Lady, & Musc Ravageur. They're nice. They smell like good normal perfumes but I'm not blown away. I don't know what to think. I was blown away by Malik Al Taif but I have no idea why.
It is both musk & oud in Malik Al Taif if memory serves
ALD MALIK AL TAIF is very good, but ENSAR OUD EO3 is the BEST.
I have never smelled EO 3 😬
