No music! A big bore 4-stroke is sweet too. Getting tired Ken Sr knockin 4-strokes a bit. Without modern 4-strokes we wouldn't have any new dirt bikes basically. EPA clamped dwn on 2 smokers! Fact.
@@mattkelly534 Hes ok hes not great. What's great is the museum he runs an the restoring of thousands of great motorcycles! He bashes 4-strokes alot that annoys me an thats foolishness! Otherwise he seems like a fine feller.

Nah not at all. I dont like the "2-stroke vs 4-stroke stuff" it divides ppl. Both are great both have there downfalls. I own both & raced both an love em all.

Better yet get back into riding sir! Never too old. The new modern 4-strokes make bikes more manageable & easier to maintain.
I've still have my 93' CR500. First a 87' CR500 then replaced with the 93' model year. Used that until 2001 when I bought my first 4 stroke, the KTM 520 mxc. Back to 2 strokes know with 16' KTM 300XC. Between those a 05' KTM 300 EXC and a 12' KTM 450 XCW. All for off roading. Use to MX in the 70's. Loved my 500's. Still have all those bikes (for Variety).
I own an love em both! 4 strokes are the future an im goin w/it in racing an my own collection but will always have a 2stroke around. 👍💯
I love the sound of low revving big bore 2 strokes, they sound so much better than small 2 strokes imo

Sounds like they are tuning the “new” 500’s to run in a higher rpm range. I owned an 89 CR500 for years and watched the Pros race at Buds Creak for many seasons. I never heard one revving so high and happy as this one.
I love the sound. It is a beautiful bike.

id like to try and ride a cr500 i've had the cr 125 and cr250. but my 2018 ktm 250 sx is pretty dang fast i think the 500 might be a little to much for what i need.
It is for me! Amazing machine but too much. The new 450s are crazy powerful enuff these days. I have a new big bore Raptor quad that's a beast. Thank God its 4-stroke!

Could you just imagine if honda and kx brought back the big bore two strokes, with new engine design, how much power they would make.
i don't think more power would be necessary. Engine would be still competitive, but modern frame, shocks, rear-suspension etc would be the things to start with. More power doesn't Always mean faster, useful power and handling would be the things i would consider first.

They r crazy fast passed my brother in his dodgeram doing 155 he said and went by him think they do around 160-180 kph. Wicked bikes. Trail rideing with 125s and 250s usally 2nd and 3rd

aluminum frame would not be my first (or second) choice but it does look pretty i guess
When Honda first came out with the twin-spar style frame they curated the hell out of you, fell apart damn near as bad as a Harley!
Its all good ..my favorite brand Yamaha uses a composite of steel & aluminum for right balance.
