Idols have such high stress levels, I'm surprised he's the only one to come out about hair loss. 😟 I lost a lot of my hair from high stress situations as well. People don't realize the toll stress takes on your body. He may have a slight hormone deficiency or maybe his adrenal glands aren't working properly. I wish that companies start to take a more active role in the health of their employees. This is heart breaking
yeah idk how it works exactly but for me I've gotten a lot of white hair. Now that I've changed jobs, I still have some of the white hair but much much less. I thought how am I getting so much white hair and such a young age but luckily a lot of it has gone away although I do still have white hair.

A kpop singer with a shaved head!" only then did it occur to me that in all my kpop loving life I've never seen an idol with a shaved head, so I googled him and found out about his alopecia. What a boss for speaking publicly about it.
I think Peniel is suffering from Alopecia. When they said the cause was stress, it reminded me of myself since i'm also suffering alopecia (at a young age) which my doctor said that the cause was stress or possibly lack of sleep. Mine's not yet as worse like Peniel but he was so brave to confess his hair loss problem. This is one of the reasons why i like BTOB.

As a girl, having alopecia is the worst thing ever i have to wear hats and wigs and it's very uncomfortable and very tiring you keep on checking if people are looking or if anything is noticable because of how judging the society is.. I've had it since I was 2 years old, now I'm 25 and I have to say not many people would accept you for who you are, it can ruin your social/dating life. I understand him, if I was a guy I would just go fully bald but I don't have the courage to do that as a girl I feel like having hair is a part of a girl's identity... I cried when he took it off I wish I could do that too

My friend has a similar condition to Peniel...but not as bad as his. She had patches of bald spots during our Sophomore year, and her doctor told her that she had to relief herself from stress and do only things that were positive and she even had to go on a cleansing diet to clean out her body. Now Senior year her hair started growing back but it still look as if someone had shaved different area around her hair though. The most inspiring thing is that she went around school like that, and smiled every single day. She took out some of her colleges classes(jnr yrs) because they were stressful to her and even left her so called "friends". She never once thought about negativity. Junior year she became a Junior Marshall, Senior year (more to come) she is ranked number 30 out of 278 seniors. The fact that school almost killed her is scary. Before junior year she was taking AP/IB classes, 2 College courses, clubs, sport, council committee, etc... I see why she was stressing out badly...but that shaped her up. I hope Peniel stay strong and brave after this. Everyday my Ma always tells me.."Out there is your battlefield, you either fight for what you believe in or surrender your rights". I've known BTOB during their rookie days but actually was not really interested in them, just Beast and lost track. 😅 But after seeing this I fell in love with them.
Peniel broke stereotypes and his members are SO SUPPORTIVE. That's really brotherhood and friendship there. Will check them out again. ❤️
