- Plan B option for the weekend, an Idaho trip fell through so we went to old reliable for early season trips. Been here several times before, took a second to remember the area without a map in hand.
I've heard it called Ancient Lakes and Ancient Lake, I guess it used to be just one lake when it was "Ancient" so I guess calling it either way could work. This area is usually very very busy as well but we lucked out and due to colder weather initially forecasted not that many people were out this weekend.
Ancient and Dusty Lake or Lake(s) is a very small but beautiful area.
Hi Andrew and Lacey! Stunning canyon landscape and waterfall. Very well photographed. Very photogenic landscape. Very photogenic sky. What a sunset! What a huge river the Columbia is! Thanks for sharing this fine adventure!
Thanks for another enjoyable video. Great intro piece with the natural amphitheater’s thundering power of Palouse Falls.
Love how this video turned out! This was such a cool little over-nighter
Gorgeous high desert, good capture. Always love seeing the other less traveled sides of states. Glad your able to cowboy camp without the rattlers!
Love the animal noises at the beginning 😃
You so the absolutely best time lapse!!! Beautiful video, thank you!
thank you!
Great video! Nice that you included Palouse Falls. Like the editing in the intro with the time lapse and sounds. Camping next to the Mighty Columbia River looks awesome! I need to check that area out before the rattlesnakes come out and concert season starts. Thanks for sharing. Hike on!
I forgot all about concert season out that way lol
Couldn’t imagine trying to do a peaceful hike with Bass Canyon or Watershed or something ever so faintly in the distance
spectacular
That waterfall was beautiful!
All that duck and goose action! You camped right across the river from a side canyon that we used to hunt a lot in my early years. Lots of good waterfowl hunting along that stretch of the Columbia between Frenchman Coulee and Crescent Bar.
It definitely seemed like a great spot, ducks EVERYWHERE
@@NorthwestWanderer Thats awesome. You two witnessed the reverse migration. The birds are staging for the return trip North and it looks like you witnessed good numbers. I definitely have to go check that spot out. Looks like a great hike in area with a good dog. Thanks for the video.
This is way cooler than some ridge in idaho
