Always keep in mind that Bobby is the eldest brother. And back in the day the eldest brother was like a second father. Their impact was very strong. Bobby was very important and influential to ALL the DeBarge brothers. I remember seeing an interview where El stated that Bobby was the only one to keep them in line because some of the brothers are hard-headed. So that impression stays with you all of your life. It's a beautiful thing to experience a sibling that motivates and encourages your gifts and talents. A beautiful thing, you hear me?
Such A God Given Gifted Artist, His Brother Randy's Son Had Passed Away, I Was Really Surprised He Even Came, Thanks El, For Coming Was Praying For You And Your Beautiful Family. ♥ 🙏🏼, Hopefully You Can Come Back To Indy , You Have Such A Tremendous Fans Base Here. God Bless.
Always one of the best voices there is even now. I cannot imagine the pain he has singing without his brothers. It has to be hard. Sometimes It gets hard listening to these Gems while missing folks long gone and the wonderful times of the past. Thank you! That was beautiful!
I mean, I have no words for how talented this family is. After all El has been thru, he hit those notes like it was nothing! I mean, just goosebumps are popping up on my arms right now. Thank you for recording and posting this! WE miss you Bobby! ❤
El Debarge is gorgeous. I don’t mean his looks either. There is a genuine charm that rings through in his interviews. I am also inspired by the unconditional love 💕 of Mama D. Unconditional love is a rare and amazing thing. It takes a courageous heart. Obviously the music is beautiful 💕 I am not a fanatic in that sense. I admire that he was strong enough to walk through his mistakes, and other peoples mistakes set to him, and sing while he thrived. I like “their self told stories” and I like learning from them. I like a lot of people for their stories, I guess, famous are not. Joséphine Baker. She taught me that the world is bigger than my tiny little block and that love is abundant. That’s something I needed to hear, in my tiny racist corner. It seems like if you keep an open mind, and open heart you can make your own happiness. Knowing their self told story, and not the tabloids, but their genuine truth let’s you hear that courage in the music. 💕
Small venues? Not the times I've seen him.... midsized yes which fits his style. It's been a long road for El DeBarge, how about giving him the grace and space to do that.
@KeciasTourLife Nothing wrong with small venues I'm just saying he could've been a huge star if it wasn't for drugs I'm seeing Patti LaBelle in a small symphony auditorium in February..

Bobby saw his talent and gave him the way to stardom
Tommy shared that Bobby molested him when he was young, so let's not give Bobby too much praise.
I can only imagine how much he misses his brothers.😢 He and Bobby sound so much alike, and their range is almost identical. Such a talented family.
Not quite identical, El struggled a bit but a great tribute for sure
It’s Just Like Breathing For Him❤

Probably remembering his brothers Tommy and Bobby who were in the group
He probably felt their spirits. ❤

To this day, he’s hurt. Sad💔

Detroit
@@KeciasTourLife thanks
@markogletree2790 I'm sorry, I thought this was the Detroit. This was actually in Indianapolis IN. My apologies 🤗
He really looked up to Bobby.. Bobby was the most talented one in the family.
They are identical

His voice....m
Give that family their achievement awards while some of them are still living.........Bet,
Ou there dolo. By himself just him his talent and a piano. Very strong brother. To all the black women who are ashamed of lightskin men. Shame on you.
😏
So much talking during a tribute to two amazing songs. Now El isnt Bobby but he did a good version of the songs.
Another great example of how drugs can ruin a career instead of being a singing icon your doing small venues for a couple of bucks 😕
