If we have geese in the area will the geese get trapped?
that has never happened for us. And we have thousands of geese and ducks where we trap
Rich, great show. I'm a newbie trapper here in Alaska. Are you using the rats as bait for anything else? What would you recommend? Wouldn't mind going through the trouble of picking up some rats if i could repurpose them for something else :)
i use them first up in the marten and fisher sets. chop them in half and throw the guts in a bucket for mink. 1/2 rat in each box is good for the first month of the season
Could you please tell me what size traps you are using for the muskrats and the 3/8 inch fiberglass pole ? Is it a feet hold trap or not? I would really appreciate any help you could share as I am just 65 and new to the trade of trapping. I am past the time of young and dum but just full of som thing. If you get the drift. Lol thanks for any help you can pass on my way. We old timers need all the help we can sneak out of the youngsters.

After a hair raising experience with waders, I now walk with a paddle or pole or something that I can "test the waters ahead"
I had that floats take in my hand. But I was actually walking on sunken ice. I get a thin spot and went through, LOL
I had a laugh when u pitched the cell phone "like a boss" 👍 lol
try a `lifeproof` case on your phone. they have saved me a few wet phones. not cheap though

Love the videos as always. We're keeping trapping alive in the lower 48. BTW California banned fur recently. Weed is legal but not fur. On another note I didn't get the demo on the 110 or the 120 with the Hagz bracket. Can you show me? Thanks

I noticed on your bait holders you had 2 spots for bait, can you set 2 traps on one pole.
No the bait holder is a repurposed unit from electric fencing.
I have so e rats on my 25ac lake. Ripping up the shoreline. I want to set traps. Never done this. What traps should I buy. Easy for someone new...thanks
I use Duke 1 1/2 2 coil but 1 would do as well.
What coil spring trap do you prefer for this set up?
I am using Duke one and a half's. I'm sure there are better ones to use, I just don't have access to much

1 1/2 dbl coil for rats??? what do they have under their fur ?? a cat motor?? maybe a zero or maybe a #1 at most and still hold a mink
That's not what it is about at all. Its all about weight. The 1 1/2 weighs a lot more and most times when the rats goes down it stays down. LOL

Depends on the year at the auction. Last year my rats for everything all sizes and grades averaged $4.80

I shot the tech tip months before and posted it up on You Tube as well the phone dunk, None of the video had ever been used in a show however.

put your phone in a bag of rice (un cooked)with the battery removed , might dry it out

buy some good phone the note8 is water resistant to a certain few feets of water.
That was a Galaxy S6, my new S8 is supposed to be water resistant as well.
