honestly this is one of the most epic national anthem on F1 races this year yet
Same with Fratelli d’Italia
And this race is also epic!
The monegasque and italian national anthems are the best
I was thinking the exact same thing. Sound really powerful👌🏼
I got goosebumps listening to national anthem
The heart and soul of this performer was just incredible. He sang like a one-man army.
Fun fact: The anthem was written in 1918 during the First Azerbaijani Democratic Republic (ADR) as a national anthem of ADR. Later, when Azerbaijan was occupied by the Soviet Union in 1920, the Azerbaijani intelligentsia/elites faced "red terror". The writer of the lyrics Ahmed Javad was sentenced to the death by the Soviet Unions as a nationalist, but composer of the music Uzeyir Hacibeyov escaped the death sentence, simply because there was not much composers back in that time. And the Soviet Union needed composers for its propaganda. Yet, Uzeyir Hacibeyov's brother, who was also musician emigrated to France in order to escape a death sentence. The Azerbaijanies believed that one day it will be the national anthem of Azerbaijan again. This happened 70 years later, when Azerbaijan regained its independence in 1991.
But Azerbaijan has a quite good relationship with Russia.
@@carlosmpsenyorcapitacollon6977 I would say not good but pragmatic relation. For example,`it is still not as good and dependent as relation of Russia with Armenia or vise versa. Russia is not the major investor, trade, economic or military, security partner of Azerbaijan.
@@carlosmpsenyorcapitacollon6977 russia isn't the soviet union...
@@user-xs8vr5yr4z Are you Azeri? What do you think of Russia?
@@carlosmpsenyorcapitacollon6977 Yes, I am an Azerbaijani by birth, but not citizenship. I have dual citizenship from EU and Britain. In general, most of the Azerbaijanis remember very well how the Soviet Union, namely Gorbachev killed Azerbaijanis for their demand of independence on January 20, 1990. Azerbaijan marked this day as "Black January". Every year people visit graves of those heroes to remember their sacrifice for their county. Azerbaijanis also remember that Armenians conduced Khojaly massacre with the help of Russia in 1992. Also, Armenia was backed up by Russia militarily, politically and economically in early 1990s to win Azerbaijan. After their joint victory, Armenia with the help of Russia occupied 20% of the Azerbaijani territories and conducted an ethnic cleansing of 1 million Azerbaijanis from those territories for 30 years. When after November 2020, the Russian "peacekeepers" came to Karabakh, people highly disliked Russia. The hate sentiments towards Russia was doubled. Because Azerbaijan was the first country to withdraw the Russian military base from its territory in 1990s. For example, Georgia could do it only in 2008, Ukraine in 2014, and Armenia still hosts two Russian military bases in Armenia. However, Aliyev could achieve withdrawal of the Russian peacekeepers from Karabakh again in September 2023, because they helped separatists Armenians to smuggle weapons to Karabakh. Thus, once Azerbaijan does not have war with Armenia/Russia, Russian military base is not in Azerbaijan, Russia threats Azerbaijan as a neighbour, the relation with Russia is neutral again. This is because Azerbaijan could sign security agreement with NATO-country Turkey. Russia will be not able to occupy our territory again with its satellite state-Armenia.
Azerbaijan also has a large ethnic Russian community in Azerbaijan. The Azerbaijani people like them very much and treat and call them as Azerbaijani Russians e.g they do not distinguish them from themselves. They have been living in Azerbaijan of 5-7 generations since early 19th century. The Azerbaijani Russians also love Azerbaijan.
Personally, I think, Azerbaijan should keep its neutral relation with Russia. Russia shares border with Azerbaijan, we are too small country to fight with Russia, and Russia is a rich country. We can have mutual economic benefit from each other. In this context, Azerbaijan can be like Austria or Switzerland.
Im waiting Azerbaijan anthem during all the f1 season !!!
Azerbaijan always comes with the best anthem performances, backed by an incredible anthem in itself
Yarış öncesi yaklaşık 90%'ını ezbere okuduğum bir milli marş. Azerbaycan da benim evim! Türkiye'den sevgilerle 🇦🇿❤🇹🇷

@@Patrique2001 Which mentions to Raikkonen?
After years of different interpretations and arrangements of the anthem for F1, this one is fairly close to the original and official version of the Azerbaijan anthem
Azerbaijan has one of the most underrated national anthems in the world
F1 izleyicizi olarak Azerbaycan yarışını sabırsızlıkla bekliyorum hep ŞANLI AZERBAYCAN 🇦🇿
This was very impressive pre race
Bu himnin sözləri və musiqisi nələri anlatmır,nələri göz önünə gətirmir ki? Azərbaycanın keşməkeşli tarixini,qürurunu,uğruna canından keçən,ən müqəddəs haqı olan yaşamaq hüququndan keçən qəhrəmanlarını...Üzeyir Hacıbəyli, Əhməd Cavad ruhunuz şad olsu 🤲🏻🇦🇿Allah şəhidlərimizə rəhmət etsin 🤲🏻⚘️
Why do I love anytime there’s a Eurovision connection to F1? 🇦🇿
Maşallah Nadir!!Fəxrimizsən,Allah səni qorusun!!!
He's handsome 🤩
Elim ureyimin ustunde agladim. Mohtesem himn, mohtesem ifa. Vetenimi butun varligimla sevirem. Sag ol Nadir
Azerbaijan & Turkiye (Istiklal marşı) have the best 2 anthems on the world
Was the president there? Usually Azerbaijan’s president attends the anthem portion of the event…
the most beautiful anthem of all time, change my mind (F1 in 2022 had it's best version so far)
A shame Nadir was so underrated in Eurovision... Such a powerful voice.
2023 still the best, the choir
still....the 2018 version still the best one
❤
Who invited Justin Timberlake?
Flashback of Kazakhstan Anthem on Borat
can’t believe they stopped going to russia because of war but they still go to azerbaijan
Hypocrisy. If we stopped to race in any country which wages war there would be no race in any of the superpower countries.
