  • On this hunt, enjoy the scenery, take in the pristine landscape. As I climb around in the island mossy cliffs and break brush in the thicket. In search of the miniature ghosts of the coast. The elusive Columbian Blacktail deer lives up to its name.

Nice video, the blacktail here on Vancouver Island do get bigger then the bones you found, mature deer are very smart and elusive, but they do gain a lot of size if they stay alive to mature. Also there must be a very large cougar, and possibly more then a few in that area you are hunting :)

Yea the deer on the main island are forsure bigger! This isn’t on the main island, and there are few to zero predators other than humans on this island. Two years ago I saw a 4 point the size of a Labrador Retriever. 😂

You know what’s funny, I was thinking that with a couple of the bucks I saw a few years back. They swim over?
