Graveyard Sale totally! one of those essential 80s ushc slabs; in the same rarefied air as Pick Your King, MECHT MENSCH’s Acceptance, DEEP WOUND, Hassibah Gets the Martian Brain Squeeze, and the second DIE KREUZEN record - i believe the proper term is “ragers”
Hardwulf is my old account. No, I’m Kevin. I worked at the Cherokee store in 1989/90. I kept it running while Jago and Rick were off shooting smack, or whatever the hell they did. I got some incredible rare hardcore records out of the place.
i was a roommate with Scott in college. they played in our apt on Forest ave a couple times to an audience of maybe 20. later they found gigs on the Cumberland strip. to this day the fastest band i ever witnessed.
Liberty Katz I don't remember it being called that. Can't remember the street number but it was about 3 blocks west of 17th on Forest Avenue. Old depression era single story blue/grey house that was split into 2 apartments.
Hey Tony, I live in Nashville close to Bill Baker. Do you know anyone that may still have a copy of the EP for sale? e-mail me alex.navarro.99@gmail.com Cheers!
NOFB seeing them in a few months along with RASHŌMON, NO FUCKER, ASOCIAL, EXTENDED HELL, ANTHRAX uk, and a bunch of others so imagine how moist i am lately!
Carl and I were pretty good friends in HS. Saw Billy this weekend at the Chicago drum show. We talked about how much this EP went for on ebay, nuckin futs! Saw DK last summer in Indy without Jello. Not the same...
@@danevans6340 they were from the black hole of eastern tennessee where nothing escapes and hardly any punk bands tour there. It makes sense how they never became popular in the word of mouth 80's.
Shit i have a big punk collection and never heard these guys til a few days ago. Fucking sick. Shame they got fucked over by jello or the label anyway.
anyone got the lyrics to acid casualty? is it true that they sped this ep up after recording? were the band members really that young? full of questions
Here's a few Knoxville bands over the years: 30 amp fuse: Carl Snow was in this group as well... The Rude Street Peters Torture Kitty Fat Bastard All of those are punk, here's some Alternative and Americana from Knoxville to check out... Superdrag...that one is a given, I know. Still played on 90.3 religiously. The V Roys- amazing alt country Americana Todd Steed and the sun's of sphere RB Morris I can list alot, even hair bands and hardcore
@@cshawnmathues4489my boy Davie Teague! We had a metal band called Do or Die years ago! Only metal I've ever played! Haw! Played in several bands w/ Carl too...Whitey, Screaming Boy Blue, What, etc....
One of the best HC records hands down. Easily top 5 of US and world,

So ahead of its time. Sounds like Deep Wound with the musical ability of Bad Brains.
I bought an original off some guy in 1989 for $1 when working at Green Hell Records in Hollywood. I sold it in 2005 for $680. lol
Which one of the green hell zombies were you? Not thrashead..are you Ed?

Absolutely the raddest West Knox hardcore band ever.
Jonathan Griswold understate much?
Maybe even one of the best in that era as far as musicianship also goes. This band is fast and tight
They were 16 at the time. Holy crap.
I got into the knoxville scene in 2018 made a lit of good friends and discovered a lot of great bands. This is by far one of the greatests ive heard

Tony Bailey that's insane!!

Tony Bailey I thought the Hippie House was down around or on Laurel Ave
Oh. The hippy house is where the STD's hung out. It was around the same area. It wasn't Koro.

I got the (official German bootleg???) for cheap in the early 90s. Still love it. Flawless record! Great job reissuing it.

So intense and furious.

Ive listened to this so many fkn times, USHC at its height !!!!
I read somewhere that the Circle Jerks were bummed they had to follow them at a gig once
Circle jerks are lame, Koro musically destroys em easily
YEAH! And they were highschool kids!!!!!!!!
Some of Knoxville's very best! 700 Club especially.
Carl and I were pretty good friends in HS. Saw Billy this weekend at the Chicago drum show. We talked about how much this EP went for on ebay, nuckin futs! Saw DK last summer in Indy without Jello. Not the same...

It's in some ways better than the source material too. Can't believe these guys didn't have more of a rep!

I don't think it was sped up but I don't know how old they were when this was made. It's a very intense 6min EP. One of the best ever.
Real speed, no editing. Yes they were all HS Juniors and Seniors 17/18yo.
Yes
I have a question, can anyone give me any other punk bands from Tennessee? Dead or ongoing, I want to support local bands
Thank you!! It's really really hard to find other punks here in Maryville :/

Anybody know the chanting words at the beginning of 700 Club? I always thought it was “no god”
it is indeed 'no god' sung through a harmonizer - Carl Snow (Koro co-founder and guitarist)
@@CarlSnow thanks Carl, happy to hear it from the source!
@@CarlSnow You still around the fast hardcore music or are things more mellow now being older?
