Whoever is trying to take the video down by making repeated complaints to youtube: I never made a cent from this video, I only shared it because I think she deserves do be seen and heard. Go find something else to do you putrid miasma!
Nostalgic as a ten year old black boy in 1977 growing up in the Township in South Africa, not only in my household but the whole township had at least 1 or 2 vynil record of Johanna Amartrading despite the general poverty, the tomboy style sneakers afro, not to mention her unique voice guitar, being original and confidence, the lady was a trendsetter, she was beautiful and a sense of pride for us❤❤❤
Everything about Joan Armatrading is right. Song writing, vocals, guitar, and especially her attitude. I’m an old dude and long long time fan. Oh, and that smile!
What a phenomenal concert. Joan has always been superlative, but I had forgotten the emotions she conjured up in me when I saw her a few times in London in the late 70s/early 80s before I left for New York.
She expresses the longing of so many women for a man who can receive one's Self, a man with tenderness and exquisite sensitivity, yet strength, awareness, and restraint.
I remember this first time round - stereo sound on Radio 1 which I recorded onto a cassette and used to play and play, it was on recently but I missed half of it so thank you for putting this up.
With a friend I can smile for awhile. If I can feel the sun on my face and the rain, why can't I feel love. But I still feel so insecure, this time dedication. Make love with affection. Sing another song with affection.
1977, why dont you come on home.oh baby dont stay to late, oh babe wont you come on home. Oh baby you know i get so scared. Standing by chord. Everylight is on on but,
I believe the keyboardist is Bill paine from Little feet, and the drummer is the wonderful Dave Mattacks from Fairport. I do not know the horn player but of course he is very good.

I am looking for the song "Sorry seems to be the hardest word" by Joan Armatrading. Does anyone has that song?
Is it by Tracy Chapman, perhaps?
Make love with affection. This time with a little dedication. Sing it,
Turn your head, looking for the bucket that it's too late.
The great Jerry Donahue on the Strat. Haven’t figured out the rest of the band..
Looks like Rick Wakeman on keyboards!😳

Show some emotion, put expression in your eyes, light up if your feeling happy and then if its sad let those tears roll down
If you want to be alone all you got to do ask. I said I'm strong, willing to be a shelter in the storm, willow, listen message
