I'll be starting law school next year and I am contemplating about doing Big law or doing it in-house counsel. The reasons for me debating on which one I would possibly see myself doing this because I do want to one day have a family and I wanted to make sure that my career and my family Dynamic wouldn't be compromised . Looking forward to this video.

Many people go into big law early in their career with the intent of not staying long term but to take advantage of some of the benefits (training, resume booster, salary, etc.) and then transition. That could be an option as well!

i’ve also heard that in-house counsel is highly coveted so experience in big law is actually preferred

Hi! I’ve been watching your channel for a little under a year now and just wanted to say thanks. I finished 1L with really great grades and your channel was a big reason why! Your exam studying schedule in particular helped me a lot. Congrats on your baby and new job and thank you again!

Hi Angela I would think for myself I would want to experience big law as yourself and then maybe transition to in house later in my career. Once again another awesome video!

I think that’s a great plan. I have found that many in-house recruiters prefer that you’ve had some law firm experience

    Very helpful video, thank you.
I was wondering how having your own law office,as a sole specialized lawyer, would touch into both In House and Big Law factors. Have you had an opportunity to talk to lawyers running their own law firm outside Big Law or In House for a large business office?

Thanks for the insight. This was so helpful! Can you please share the similarities and differences when it comes to training? Would you say that in house expects you to already know the job upon being hired, while big law expects you to know nothing and will train? Appreciate your feedback.
