At that time (2011) Pakistan was suffering with lack of electricity and there was also an ongoing battle between electric and mechanical departments of Pakistan Railways, Due to less of electricity few of corrupt higher officials in PR made a base statements to get rid of electric railroad and at that time Ministry of Railways supported their narrative to abandon it, after the abandonment they order 69 D.E locomotive,s, to a Chinese company,so the procurement of diesel tractions proved the victory of Diesel mafia over electric department, That 69 Diesel locomotives were grounded after 8 years if working (you could watch the story of those Chinese locomotive,s in my previous videos) Thanks
