I love how emotional Buster got when they won it, falling to his knees after hugging Madbum. He wasn't that emotional in either of the other two WS. And Jeremy Affeldt's interview got me all choked up. Also I loved the mid-interview hug from Casilla to Madbum, who used to be so shy with the media in 2010, and even in 2012. Now he seems totally comfortable, which I guess happens by your third WS championship. Giants forever!

This is my favorite world series. It still gives me goosebumps. A game 7 on the road and no road team had won a game 7 on the road before this in like 50 years. So the odds were really stacked against the giants. This game 7 also stood out because it was a low scoring close pitcher's duel throughout the whole game. Bumgarner's pitching performance is still so amazing to watch. Gordon's hit at the end and the mistake by Blanco still gives me a heart attack too haha.

People saying the Giants are lucky the MLB added a second wild card. You do realize that the Pirates and Giants had the same reg. season record, right? They would have played a one-game playoff regardless. You don't win 3 rings in 5 years by getting lucky. Being great in the regular season doesn't mean you'll do well in the playoffs. That's why they play the games.
rainafter snowplease Right. Winning 3 rings in 5 seasons doesn't mean the Giants were lucky, it's chemistry. The entire Giants organization had chemistry to win games and championships, not just Mad Bum himself. At least, Bumgarner did an outstanding job throughout the 2014 postseason though. And fact, I'm a Giants fan. ;)
+rainafter snowplease I think some people think it's abuse of the system though. This is basically showing you don't need to win 100 games to win a title so people think some teams will just hang around the wildcard and play for that. I am hearing the Wildcard winner are winning more than the division leader.
That makes no sense though. It's obviously riskier to be in a 1-game playoff than go straight into a 5-game series. And even if wild card teams do win more often - who cares? The point of the regular season is to see who gets to the playoffs. What happens after that has nothing to do with your regular season performance by design. Otherwise they'd just declare the team with the best record to be WS champs.

Love love love Bumgarner, he gave us 10+ good years, cant say enough about him. The 2014 world series and what he did was what made him a legend. The Halls will call for him when he hangs it up.
I remember this night like it was yesterday, I watched the game from city hall in sf and its still one of the greatest nights of my life. Miss watching my guys play! If it wasnt for covid, I would have attended every giants home game since 2001! Including all playoff/ w.s. games at home for 10 12 14. #LETSGOGIANTS #ORANGEANDBLACKFORLIFE
And to think the Royals could have drafted Buster Posey with the 3rd overall pick in the 2008 draft, but opted for Eric Hosmer. Giants would draft Posey with the 5th pick.
Anthony Hugo Then Royal fans must have pretty low expectations...of course I suppose a 29 year playoff drought would bring expectations down quite a bit.
WretchEph289 every season it seems to be a lot of "oh the royals lost last night...shocking", however nothing ever beats a royals game on a summer night! :)
I remember when Blanco effed up on Gordon's hit my jaw instantly dropped and I was just speechless. I'm pretty sure I had flashbacks of 2002 when the Angels came back and won GM 6. And then.....the pop up.
I have been watching baseball since the 1970's. Harold Reynolds is the best color commentator I have ever heard. The man is so sharp and knowledgeable. Previous favorites include Joe Garagiola, who did not share Reynold's genius, but was just fun to listen to (mostly because his co-announcer, the all-time greatest, Vin Scully). Joe Morgan should also be in the Hall of Fame - not just for being the greatest second baseman of all time, but for his announcing skills. Nonetheless, Harold is just great.
I just realized that 2 out 3 of the Oakland A's big three won a world series with the giants. Zito in 2012 and Hudson 2014, even though zito has 2 rings he was left off the 2010 roster
This was a great World Series that was literally the biggest ass biter World Series history. Don't be upset Royals fans because you played a great series, both teams did. And guess what, you're going to win the division. This is your year. Let's hope you face the Buccos in the World Series. Coming from a Pirates fan from Pittsburgh, you played a great series and I really wanted you to win. Don't worry because you're having a fantastic year. All the best!
Enid Greene-Rhee Hey, they gave it their all, and I was scared they would score off a Perez RBI single. Im a Giants fan, and oh boy the Royals gave us a challenge. Kept me on my seat for hours. Your Royals did win the next year, so belated congratulations.
Royals lose World Series at home: Fountains turn Giants orange, and they are allowed to celebrate on the field Mets lose World Series at home: force the Royals off the field
What are you talking about? The Royals celebrated on the field too. Look at '15 WS G5 and you'll see the exact same sequence of events that '14 WS G7 had: Final out, celebration, interviews on field, dugout celebration, trophy presentation.
This game right here is what made Bum my favorite player of all time. The way he came in and kicked absolute ass. I was sad to see him go but I can’t thank him enough for what he did for the franchise. Thank you Bum.
Too bad Pablo Sandoval won't be here next year, but I can live with that. I'll always appreciate what Pablo has done for the Giants and wish him success in Boston, a team I respect. Contract was a little much though... Now what do we expect for 2015? Angel Pagan will likely be back as starting outfielder, Hector Sanchez as backup catcher, hopefully Marco Scutaro as starting second baseman, and Matt Cain as a starting pitcher. What do we do with Tim Lincecum, give him a final chance or just bench him? Do we bid for Yasmany Tomas? Do we look for a replacement for Tim Hudson, who has only one year left? How do we fill the hole at third base? Some interesting offseason questions should make for an interesting 2015. I suspect, like the other odd years of this decade, that 2015 will be another rebuilding year. Which if it brings a championship in 2016 I wouldn't mind at all.
Vincent Cuttolo you're probably right, still having Scutaro back wouldn't hurt. We've never had real stability at 2B this decade, with Freddy going down in 2011, then bouncing here and there till Scutaro late 2012-all of 2013, then bouncing around here and there again till Panik mid-2014 (I say mid-2014 because he didn't really stay at 2B until then). So if we can keep Scutaro at backup and Panik as starter, I'll take that.
At least we have nori aoki but do you think he's gonna take hunters place cause he was the right fielder for the royals. But he might take left field I don't know I just hate when there's no baseball on. Your just like sitting on your couch trying to find at least some baseball and there's like nothing on. It sucks! Let's hope we have a good season this year!
it baffles me how astonishing Bumgarner was in this game especially watching this live I was on the edge of my seat wondering if the pressure would be to much for him to handle and when a moment like that arrived in the form of Gordon I was amazed to see how calm he stayed and without wavering he pulled through though I can't help but wonder what could have happened if Gordon went past the stop sign
The Dynasty wins out over "Destiny"! As a Giants fan that game 7 was too close for comfort, I was nervous from beginning to end, just glad we came out on top again!
Pablo Sandoval, amongst many other players; had a well paid "slump" in his career over here with the Red Sox. He then leaves, amongst many other players; and starts to completely crush it like before. Hey, thats baseball. He always reminded me of someone like David Ortiz not ony because of his capable power but how he could put the ball in between the gaps in the outfield in clutch situations. Just look at that batting average in the post season! Dude dont look like the model baseball player but he sure can hit like one. Has a nice glove at 3rd too. Thanks for the video
I don't even know the game ...but I am enjoying it as much as I enjoy Cricket.....I tried to understand it through internet and now I have little basic idea of this game ....well played!
burger N Fries I think when Infante got the base hit they all thought “yeah we got him now!” and then from there as Bum shoved it up their asses one batter at a time, they slowly lost hope.

No doubt about Affeldt, great role player.I also think people overlook his Game 5 pitching in the N.L.C.S as well.Everyone will remember Ishikawa's Walk off pennant clinching home run,but few seem to remember Affeltd getting the Giants out of a bases loaded jam in the top of the 9th.

CHAMPIONS 2010, 2012 Y 2014 ¡ YES, YES, YES !
When Bummy came in the game I knew it was over
Yeah I know
Facts he’s the GOAT
lol
Then the Cubs ended their dynasty. "They simply ran out of even year magic." 😂
Mr. Woods at least it didn’t take us a whole ass century to win a World Series 😂
I always love Baseball!!! It’s my favorite sport!!! Thanks for the video!!!
Home teams had won 9 straight game 7s.
*Giants, Cubs and Astros say hold my beer.
*Nationals as well.
*Astros: hold my trashcan
Jason Milly Red sox
Jason Milly oh wait you said game seven never mind not red sox
Astros: just forget about the cheating
I just realized E-40 is the lone Giants fan behind home plate, haha
Brian Biekman that was him?? Oh shit lmaoo didn’t even notice
There's always a few away team fans for the Giants even in the season
The most epic game 7 of the World Series since 2001 World Series between Yankees and diamondbacks
Love love love Bumgarner, he gave us 10+ good years, cant say enough about him. The 2014 world series and what he did was what made him a legend. The Halls will call for him when he hangs it up.
No question, Madbum is HOF bound for sure. ,
@@MrPerfecttommy I sure hope so, but honestly I don’t know if he’ll make it
@@Nopedout After that WS record?
Put on some random baseball highlights to fall asleep to. Woke up in the middle of game 7 of the 2014 World Series.
You woke up to watch Bumgarner close it out 😏
Still gives me chills
Who would dislike this? The only people who should be watching this are baseball fans, and this video is exactly what it's made out to be.
Watching now. Saw it mentioned on twitter. Nice to see this again. Have games on DVD so haven't seen in a while. Great game.

Giants would draft Posey with the 5th pick.
well hosmer hasn't disappointed anyone here :)
Anthony Hugo Never been to Anaheim have you buddy
I've been twice :) i enjoyed the park and the games but i prefer my hometown... :)
I remember when Blanco effed up on Gordon's hit my jaw instantly dropped and I was just speechless. I'm pretty sure I had flashbacks of 2002 when the Angels came back and won GM 6. And then.....the pop up.
*fucked up
I have been watching baseball since the 1970's.

Im enjoying these games . Thanks for showing them
When people say Kershaw > Madbum just show them this series

Kershaw is a notorious choker in the playoffs.
BIll C and you are dumber than a rock

no
Lol. No one saying that. Bum is a champ no argument from me.
i am watching this at 4:00 in the morning
It's 3:30 am here.
I just realized that 2 out 3 of the Oakland A's big three won a world series with the giants. Zito in 2012 and Hudson 2014, even though zito has 2 rings he was left off the 2010 roster
Greatest W.S. pitching ever. Madison Bumgarter relieves in game 7 on 2 days rest after winning 2 games. You knew the Giants would win in K.C.
ua-cam.com/video/iJvqVU8Iab8/v-deo.html
this is awesome, it will go down in history
This was a great World Series that was literally the biggest ass biter World Series history. Don't be upset Royals fans because you played a great series, both teams did. And guess what, you're going to win the division. This is your year. Let's hope you face the Buccos in the World Series. Coming from a Pirates fan from Pittsburgh, you played a great series and I really wanted you to win. Don't worry because you're having a fantastic year. All the best!
Oliver Dresser u really predicted the Royals WS win
I watched this game almost 5 years ago. The moment Madison bumgarner walked out of the dugout and went on to the mound, I knew it was over.

As a diehard Royals fan, this game hurt me so bad.
Enid Greene-Rhee Hey, they gave it their all, and I was scared they would score off a Perez RBI single. Im a Giants fan, and oh boy the Royals gave us a challenge. Kept me on my seat for hours. Your Royals did win the next year, so belated congratulations.

Mets lose World Series at home: force the Royals off the field
What are you talking about? The Royals celebrated on the field too. Look at '15 WS G5 and you'll see the exact same sequence of events that '14 WS G7 had: Final out, celebration, interviews on field, dugout celebration, trophy presentation.

This game right here is what made Bum my favorite player of all time. The way he came in and kicked absolute ass. I was sad to see him go but I can’t thank him enough for what he did for the franchise. Thank you Bum.

Quarantine miserable
I'm so proud to bookmark this as my first baseball game ever. right now right here on youtube.
I like Panik at second base, give Arias a chance at 3rd, i think go for tomas
Opp I
Vincent Cuttolo you're probably right, still having Scutaro back wouldn't hurt.
It's sad but people come and go😢 it's just how baseball works but we have Casey McGhee from Miami i don't know if he's good but we'll find out
At least we have nori aoki but do you think he's gonna take hunters place cause he was the right fielder for the royals. But he might take left field I don't know I just hate when there's no baseball on. Your just like sitting on your couch trying to find at least some baseball and there's like nothing on. It sucks! Let's hope we have a good season this year!
This game will forever give me goosebumps every time I watch it. #BlackAndOrange
it baffles me how astonishing Bumgarner was in this game especially
watching this live I was on the edge of my seat wondering if the pressure would be to much for him to handle
and when a moment like that arrived in the form of Gordon I was amazed to see how calm he stayed
and without wavering he pulled through
though I can't help but wonder what could have happened if Gordon went past the stop sign
I live in Australia and I don’t usually see this on TV so this is very interesting to watch
Not better then cricket though.
GIANTS RULE

The Giants bullpen did a monster of a job to win this game....
Madison was basically the bullpen that day.
@@The_Gamer_91 don’t forget about affeldt. He pitched some big innings
