Compare the ending of episode 7 to the end of this episode, they added Loco Musica and Lederblume to the ending credits and the song being sung by all the voice actors. It's pretty cute, and shows that they are a team now.
It was a touching moment seeing Leber and Loco recognize what was probably there for a long time, but because it’s this show, and Utena being a complete runaway train when her perviness kicks in, there was a bit more moisture involved than your average anime romance. I think from what I’ve seen in comments from people who claim to have read the manga, Kiwi/Leoparde has had the three stars all along, or capability to manifest them if necessary, but chose to keep them hidden. It does seem to make sense because her poker face lured Sister Gigant out to fight her alone, and she seems more feisty than the meganun, setting up for a spectacular next episode battle, hopefully.
I can HONESTY say, "You should read the manga" for this one. After the anime, the drama and character development is even more legit. There's some obligatory goofy shite, but I was damn near as shocked by how good this manga was as I was with Oshi no Ko, though the general quality of story between the two series is vastly different.

Back in episode 8, when Lord called her "Starless", I went back and watched Kiwi's first appearance again. I said to myself "Leoparde was stripped naked during the electrocution scene, right? Surely we would see her stars then." But we never see the top of Leoparde's breasts. Her uniform is torn, but she never loses her collar or her sleeves. Baiser has two stars, but she also has stars in her eyes, and on the tips of her horns. And Baiser seems to grow stars at will.when she really gets excited. Which Lord never paid enough attention to Baiser to find out. So both Baiser and Leoparde were underestimated by Lord because she just assumed they didn't have more stars thsn were visible. As for Baiser's shenanigans in this episode, I think one commenter said it best ehen he said "She's writing her own fanfic." I think she figured out last episode that Loco and Leber were in love. So her plan frim the beginning was to get them to admit their feelings to each other. If she could be there to watch, so much the better. 😂
I feel Kiwi’s anger at selling figures in a billion pieces. I thought the Frame Arms Girls were really cute, but I don’t want have the gumption to build and paint them all and their variants myself.
The Loco X Leber scene was a tour the force for me. They managed to cram so much wholesome within such a fucked up scene and come out smelling like roses. You got to respect it. Kiwiiiiiiiii :D. Best girl, she is so entertaining. I never get tired of her. To be clear, she did not get more stars. She always had them but was powering down because her explosion powers are too dangerous. Kind of like Freiza in DBZ. Glad to see you're really stating to gush over Gushing Dean. This show will do that to you. See you for the next one.
There's no evidence for this in the anime, or what I have seen of the manga, but in my head canon Kiwi saw Sulfur's power up, and said "Huh. I wonder if I can do that." After being beaten by Baiser and falling in love with her she trained to unlock the power, but she found out it does too much damage to her body. She may also be embarrassed to let Utena see her so primal and out of control like that. I also suspect that she was hiding it from Venalita, but Venalita seems to know she was hiding it. Although I don't trust that Bunnycat isn't lying

There is not a 0 chance that would turn Utena on because she loves seeing magical girls go extra. I also don't think she was out of control, if anything she fought the smartest and most tactical fight in her career so far. Only reason she acted "primal" was that she was exited to go to the Love Hotel. She was way more out of control when fighting Sulfur for the 1st time. I read the whole manga so I won't say what I think of Vena on the off change you are not done yet.

Turns out, when you want to express intense love, you may actually do naked stuff. Loco and Leber are one of the cutest couples in the series. After this, all of their intimate moments actually mean something endearing. Also, I find it hard to just laugh off Kiwi's growing affection for Utena. Sure, it's a comedy ecchi, where her attraction started by being told she was "the cutest," after being electroshocked in a kinky way, but moving forward, Kiwi have valued Utena's happiness and prosperity. Kiwi lives for Utena, and she'd die for her, and Utena is not laughing off her love. She even said "Yes" to going to the hotel later. In fact, Utena never told Kiwi no, yet.
This is not a spoiler because it has happened before in the series, but Utena has more stars than she likes to show. If you go back to episode 7 and pay attention at the end of Baiser's fight with Azure, you'll see that she has a lot more stars on her face. The same happened after they escaped Nacht Base in episode 8. It's kind of pointless to try to count how many stars Baiser actually has, but let's just say that when she gets serious, the stars just keep showing up.
I love that shite. I mean, the series already makes it abundantly clear that Utena is a fing onion. They less "shackles on her heart" are locked, the more she can reach her potential. Kick ass way of visually representing those stages.

Leoparde is both a Leopard big cat and a Leopard Tank (for the guns) so her name makes sense.
