Indeed we do. From the ocean to the Willamette, to the Siskiyou mountains in southern Oregon, the Ochoco and the Columbia plateau and last but certainly not least the great desert in southeastern Oregon. Those don't even come close to all the mountains and different types of environments. Each has different agates hear. And jewels like the sunstone and gold is everywhere except northeast Oregon. Its one of the many things that makes me proud to be from Oregon.
This is mine now. I'm keeping the right half (unopened so far, I just can't bring myself to untie the bow) at my desk at work, and the left half (3:35) on my desk at home. It's astounding to look at. From your hands to mine, thank you Chris.
Chris, what an incredible glimpse into the generations gone by! I would consider that rock specimen to be very rare! 😮🧐 I've never seen anything like it before... As you stated, there was a shift in geology that is evidenced by this one rock. It looks so cool! 😎 Fantastic find my friend! Thanks for sharing as well! Blessings from Alabama ❤️
OOOOH!! from potato to beautiful ...the absolutely joys of fossiking or rock hounding ...maybe ...thats a feature I have never seen before in agate, and Ive seen a lot of agate. To have been formed broekn and reformed lke that is a really rare occurance. This is a new twist to prospecting that I really like Mr Chris .....no more safety squint is really good too.
Oh Chris, with those silica deposits, minerals make up colours, making agats beautiful. Minerals as you know are organic material broken down making clay...this is in reference to my comment below
You might have reviled an impact evidence that might have occurred during its long existence. Make a small square jig that uses the edge of your cutting table to keep the rocks steady and reduce the cutting disc marks. Alternatively, borrow the brick saw tray design, hope it helps on your journey.
This otta make you laugh Chris...."What no ear protection?" Had to say it...glad to see you finally cutting those rocks you been finding. Not sure which saw you using but I could give you some suggestions on saw blades on the cheap that would cut faster and a lot quieter. Keep rockin on dude! Thanks for sharing.
Cleaner edges come with time like the right panning motion. You'll get the feel for it and those saw marks will get fewer and less deep. Not bad at all.
Protectacles 🥽😂 Safety first 👍🏻⚒️🏴 Is AGATE heavy? I've kept a small rock with bands of colour but only kept it because I liked the look of it. It could be the same type of rock but I'm not sure what I'm looking for.
Just waiting for warmer weather here so I can take my saw outside to cut some Indonesian agate I acquired a few months ago, and I'm getting close to saving enough for an 8"/200mm flat lap. Can't wait, I've got some nice bits just waiting for polishing.
We are almost at a full circle Chris find process enrich sell and start again anyone buying from you knows it's legit and dug by your hand cut polished and listed by vogus and a collectors piece for the future
I thought I had covid but the persistant cough I had for weeks was a bacterial thing in my lung not a viral thing. One week course of a particular anti biotic and its gone now. Worth asking your gp about..
I live in Oregon USA and we find agates here that would blow your mind.

We've got some really beautiful ones here in Australia as well
Wisconsin here and we go up n pull lake Michigan agates. My favorite are copper banded
Can't blow worse than the Aussie government 😂
Same here but in Minnesota. The agates up near the iron range and near Lake Superior can be absolutely stunning.

What’s the best way to polish iron ore?

A million years?! 😂 I think the earth is roughly 6k years old. No millions. Thousands is still a lot of years tho 😂

Eyes , ears and don’t forget the crotch … kick back can be bad !
When the next alcohol update ? I remember you doing a video on it and then no update since???
Legalities my dude.
As an abrasives master i would never bother with a 100g on stone. The more dense the material the finer will be better any old day 😉
Really?
@@VoGusProspecting yep , move stone slowly through cutting first never rush 😉
Move over Fabio....
Stoners
First. 😂
