Things you should keep in mind while watching the performance:-
1. Moonbyul was supposed to be vocalist but she had to become a rapper.
2. They came from a very small company which means that the training system of the company was not like other companies like jyp,sm etc.
3. They sang in english in some parts which is not their language but still they didn't sound weird or awkward in english.
4. They were rookies at that time.
5. They even did choreography in some parts , imagine they didn't even had time to breathe properly.
plus: Hwasa once said that she went to audition at company and they said that she sings good but her body is fat (smth like that if I am wrong then please correct me).Well that person lost a precious gem because of a stupid standard.
Funny how they thought she was fat but now she is not only known as a fatal queen but is also iconic. What a big slap to those who said so.

I think them being from a small company was part of the reason they were on this show right? To get out there and get noticed? I know because they were the first group from their company their debut was really not like others, they performed on the street and in bars in clubs. Their CEO was criticized for recruiting them because they didn’t fit the typical Korean beauty standard and I believe their ceo warned MMM that they really needed to be a group that focused on vocals bc no one was going to look at them a second time based on looks; they had to catch attentions with their voices

Wheein - most stable vocally, fluid dancer and has the cleanest voice
Solar - flawless high notes and has the most pleasing voice

i finally had the time to complete queendom and i felt so angry by everyone (idiots) insisting that they won there because of their popularity, mamamoo has real, once in a century kind of brilliant and collected talent. They shine alone and they shine even brighter when together-they won in Queendom because of their sheer talent and this performance here was a premonition of how far they'd go!!

I'm watching this again after a few years, and I still can't get over how superior their voices were among most other girl groups at that time. Very few of them could sing multi-part harmony. Very few of them could show strong voices from all members of the group, and I can hear all four could wail at the same time. Who could do that back then ?
I noted that in recent video collaboration with JYP, Moonbyul didn't seem to like wearing a short dress yet here she was 4+ years ago being OK with it. How things change :-)

I still can't wrap my head around the fact that they were 'rookies' during this performance.
I’m not going to apologize for my opinion but Mamamoo honestly trumps any other singer that others consider better than them. I honestly don’t get it? Before you guys start saying things like “do you even know what you’re talking about?”, I’m also a singer, and I know the difference between support and strain. These four have NO strain whatsoever! Literally crystal clear voices. Yes I even think they’re better than like SNSD’s Taeyeon, and even in a lot of cases Ailee. No one is as stable as they are, especially as stable as Wheein and Solar. (actually maybe Spica and Mamamoo are up there in vocals) Every time they belt there’s no waver in their voices besides the vibrato, which is rare when they sing. Anyways Mamamoo slays them vocals as always it’s not even surprising

Listening to other girl groups vocal and raps was already a normal for me for their notes and raps and when I heard mamamoo singing its like are they really idols? How come can someone sing with a stable and live voice while danciing? For me I already saw a girl group that is harmonous and unique than the others. I also was filled with anticipation when I seen Hwasa about to start the slow emotional part at the beginning. (mission accomplished, I got choked up) Listen to her voice carefully. This is pure emotion. She can feel this in her heart. There is no other way she could sing like this. Her feelings are in her eyes. All of them are experts at bringing you close to them with the singing and performance. I have picked my favorite but since that changes every few seconds I must pick all 4. Best singing group of all times.
