It also is the ultimate sob story, because existence itself is the ultimate horror, only made seemingly banal by the mere fact that it is common to every one of us. But that does not change the fact that we are all stuck with whatever hand we're dealt with, which is likely to lead us to some unspecific amount of terrible suffering , and then at the end you die.
I was completely transfixed by Eli's rendition of the classic tale of the mole and artificial cabbage noodles. When my parents told me the tale at bedtime when I was a toddler, they didn't give it the passion that Eli showed, and I never quite understood the true meaning behind this multi faceted story. Until now. I think we can all take something away with us from this beautiful and dramatic presentation. Thanks Eli.
I feel Stuart missed the full tragedy of Eli's sob story: Eli might need to eat less gluten... and yet as we all know, Eli is defined by his love of noodles. {sob} Stay strong, Eli!
Well, now that wouldn't be fair to the other contestants on the show...They would have to change the show's name to "Eli's got talent...but the rest of Britain not so much"
Say what you want about Eli - mostly crazy sex midget jokes, probably - but he's a world class actor to pull off such a performance without breaking character.
lol those title cards, amazing and "what's your sob story?" "I exist" man that is too real. You didn't need to stab us all with the truth of all sob stories.
This was the funniest, everyone put on a top notch show. That dry bit of humour with Chris was great. I just imagined what Eli's performance art bit would have been like without the dramatic music.
Ryan's act is like a tabletop version of Stomp. Paul's act (and personality) makes me think that he's one of those sketchy guys who tries to hustle people at three card monte in metro stations. Chris's act displays a level of motor coordination never before seen on Barshens, but I guess that's not saying much. Eli's act somewhat reminds me of the Dude's landlord's interpretive dance bit in The Big Lebowski. Maybe it was just the roll.
Paul is a great example of an aquired taste, I think. I didn't like him very much in the first episodes he appeared in, but now I think he's hilarious and the funniest of the bunch (Well, after Eli, of course). :D
No joke, Paul really is a terrific comedian in the vein of a sad clown. His tenaciousness and outwardly upbeat personality on camera (and podcasts) bring out his best. He is the Krusty the Clown of Barshens.
I have had to stop this video and back up because I'm laughing so hard I'm crying. This is platinum level excellence. How am I just finding all these epic channels!?!
Ashens: "What's your sob story, Paul?"
Paul: "I exist!"
God damn that was brilliant.
The first time I heard this I had to pause the video as I was laughing so hard
"so paul whats your sob story?" "i exist" its sad to say that i relate to paul quite a lot there
OdYsSeY I think we all do.
Same...

Yes, I also think it's sad he exists
My sob story is that you all exist.
I was really hoping the piece of paper in Barry's pocket would just be a plug for Cheapshow
Klye Paul advertises himself
@@aqua-b7ryeah. Relentlessly. Tiresomely

A truly touching tale.
I like how they're all playing characters, but in an unsettling kind of way.
An apt analysis
It's probably also the reason this video is really unpopular for the channel. But the performances are top stuff.
Ryan's little performance was legitimately charming
Who's Ryan... you mean Cousin Dan?
It was genuinely adorable
It was pretty terrible, Ashens made the right call.
It's a very complicated way to tell your boss that you're going to quit... ^^
Current mood: Paul
Spirit animal: Keith
You can tell Barry is genuinely impressed with the magic whilst Stuart's sitting there knowing what Paul's doing every single second of each trick.
"What's your sob story, Paul?"
"I exist."
10/10
I feel Stuart missed the full tragedy of Eli's sob story: Eli might need to eat less gluten... and yet as we all know, Eli is defined by his love of noodles.
{sob} Stay strong, Eli!
Eli. Never change.
Eli was the best act it really showed the dark madness of his soul its the only one i can really relate to out of the bunch
Barshens got talent never did come back for shame
Barshens got talent at another fan meetup, where fan's talents are judged by the barshen's team.
I'm just going to sit there and beat Mega Man 2 without continuing because that's the only remotely impressive thing I can do
Dr Megaman 1.5h later...
#Chriswon, her alive/dead cat sob story and "imagine we're all on fire" routine were hilarious. A definite winner for me :D
Astronomically better than the real thing. Also shorter, which is great too.
awmperry That’s what she said. Wait, what..?
VisionThing aren't you a funny chap?
Actually it's the same length, it just doesn't have adverts.
Actually, a little known fact, Keith is the one who comes up with all the concepts for Barshens. He's the reason they are so successful.
Loved Chris's performance oh my god. Eli's performance is ahead of its time
The amplitude is modular in this new season ooof... *BARSHENS'* *GOT* *TALENT*
Big thumbs up for having Chris on camera!
wow that intro music sounded suspisciously like the Sonic '06 theme
Yeah it's almost the same
Keith’s World
I approve of this.
So your saying that the Britains Got Talent theme was nicked from Sonic '06,then?
no idea, I'd rather get shot in the face than watch something called "Britain's got talent"
Wow.....just...... Wow. What in the hell? Eli was.....amazing? Frightening? The greatest thing ever🤣🤣🤣
OMG. It would make my *life* if Eli was on Britain's got talent with that act XD
Cassandra Tomie Wladyslava He should definitely apply! Under the monicker of visual poetry.
It certainly wouldn't be the weirdest thing on that show
Well, now that wouldn't be fair to the other contestants on the show...They would have to change the show's name to "Eli's got talent...but the rest of Britain not so much"
Ryan’s laughing head peeking in to frame at 10:59 during Eli’s bit is so funny to me
Got us all there with that existentialism, Gannon.
I love Chris’s lack of enthusiasm 😍
Barry, don't lie. We know you used Fiver for the new graphics, and so yes, you spent all of the budget.
There's something really nice about just seeing everyone show off some actually quite impressive skills. Wholesome, impressive, and funny all at once.
Eli ascended to a new level in this episode
We need more Chris on this channel. She's an absolute charm.
E L I R O L L S
That bit between Stuart and Chris was brilliant.
more of Chris please!!!!!
Yes!
Sphinx you don't need to show your love of daggers like that.
Did Chris make a Schrodinger's cat joke?
Neil Curran Apparently :-D
Yes and no.
At time of writing, I am 13 seconds in and I can tell this will be the best episode yet.
#EliWasRobbed
A S K Beat me to it!

I wasn't ready for Paul's sob story, bought tears to my eyes.

Barry: "Whats your name Paul?"
😂😂😂
12:10 man that harmonized HMMMM is a talent in itself

You never disappoint folks, but this ranks high in my personal favourites, and I've been here from the start
why does Paul need a girlfriend he has Eli
47lonelywhiteboys It's nice to cuddle someone who actually uses soap once in a while...
Eli doesn't put out
But... He's the noodlemaster...
Amplitude.
Modular, quality.

Johan Gustafsson check out the cheapshow podcast, you will be in stitches

"What's your sob story Paul?"
"I exsist"
Never has Paul being more relatable
Eli is hilarious as always. Stuart would make a great funny version of Simon Cowell as well and all.
It's true - the first round of a talent show is always the most entertaining. Thanks, team Barshens!
OMG Eli's performance had me in stitches, I thought I was going to crack a rib from laughing again
Paul seems especially sad in this episode. He's always sad, but this is much sadder than normal.
No joke, Paul really is a terrific comedian in the vein of a sad clown. His tenaciousness and outwardly upbeat personality on camera (and podcasts) bring out his best. He is the Krusty the Clown of Barshens.
I'm actually really impressed with the talent the crew exhibited. Thank guys for showing what random stuff you can do!
My favourite Barshens video yet
Chris has such a nice voice.
I actually like Paul.
He's like an adorable newborn kitten mewing for attention.
DmD yeah
I do too! :)
I'm sorry to hear that.
weirdo
Barry's laught at the end, love it.
Eli for ever. Forever Eli! I love Eli so much
Eli's act was without a doubt the most moving and artistic piece of performance art I've ever had the good fortune to witness.
9:07 the mole, the myth, the cheapshow legend Keith makes his Barshens debut
Bravo Eli, Bravo.
Man ,they don't make good quality content like this anymore.
You're right. Barshens hasn't made any content for years
Watch out for the witch mouth! It was so funny when Eli was pre-emptively laughing at the sheer thought of his routine.
This was great, really nice to see the other talents of the crew. Love to see another one with Izzie and the rest of the crew
This is probably one of the best videos in UA-cam
Barshens is too good for this world.
I have had to stop this video and back up because I'm laughing so hard I'm crying.
This is platinum level excellence. How am I just finding all these epic channels!?!
Your are truly kings of random, Barshens. Thank you for existing (yes, even you, Paul!).
In my humble opinion Cousin Dan and Paul did amazingly!
Paul's laughs in the background crack me up hahaha!
THAT'S the time you decided to fully break out the Beethoven? LOVE IT.
100% pure gold shyte! I expect nothing less from Barshens
paul you were rediculously entertaining this episode.
Elis performance made me resubscribe. 😮
Holy Fck Eli's actually had me crying with laughter. This is the best one yet!
I finally get to see Kieth in the flesh.
jekanyika in the dry flesh lol, he looked bigger on the cheap show photo lol
“I’ve borned you!”
They've got more talent than I expected.
This was so funny :) Please do more!
That is a FABULOUS thumbnail 👌🏼😂 love it!
Brilliant!
This was awesome. The barshens team showing them skillz.
Eli's performance was AMAZING!!!
This was pure magic!
This was the best thing to wake up to
This needs to be a regular thing. Bring guests.
I love how Stuart is trying so hard not to laugh.
This has been Paul's finest moment. I was genuinely impressed. :D
This was the most great best and much gooder video me did ever saw
Amazing simply amazing
Absolutely bloody brilliant!
Barry trying not to laugh from the first frame xD
Stuart's face when Eli said Ryan's parents haha he was like hey now watch it your talking about my sister.
regarding the noodles its actually pickled cabbage fish flavour
Amazing. We need more of this please
they all were pretty great
Yay new game!
I thought Eli's talent was being a Hobbit...
It's supposed to be hidden talents.
This is everything I didn’t know I needed (I assume, there may be far more I don’t know I needed...)
I really enjoyed this video. I think the "no shits given" vibe was great
Great show guys!!!
Dear god that was pure genius.
So short! I wanted Linton to suddenly appear out of nowhere thanks to the magic of editing.
