Adele Haenel mentioned just one of the immanent paradoxes: we say a lot about spirituality which is unity, but yet we treat ourselves as separate objects.Cutting reality into species, genders, different sort of feelings etc.

I comprehend much more of the depth of Portrait through this French-speaking interview of Adele and Noemie. 28 as a hidden Easter egg(very funny Adele puts it), collaboration that will in the end separate them(so heartbreaking), women as objects in patriarchal viewpoints but the muses enjoying mutual respect, freedom and love in the world where two womans😏😘 in love. Indeed, the two brilliant actors' perception and interpretation of this movie can be fully expressed en Francais. That's the way it should be done, i mean for all the interviews on any non-English-speaking films.

The significance of that number for writer-director, Céline Sciamma is immense.
She met Adèle Haenel when Sciamma was 28, and they broke up when Haenel was 28.
Very poetic, isn't it? Just shows how much they meant to each other. I'm glad they're still friends. Can't wait for their next project together.
