We had a week in the trapper tents in August - my daughter and I. Absolutely first class accommodation. Everything thought of. So much free stuff included in the price. As a comparison, did a week of ‘glamping’ in a farmers field in Devon last year which we left 2 days early. Terribly run and expensive. For the same price, we got an incredible place we didn’t want to leave. :)
Thats why we keep going back to the Huttopia sites...they might be a bit more expensive, but generally they are very well run, offer excellent facilities and beautiful surroundings. Thanks for watching and taking the time to get in touch ! cheers JT
Just back from Lac de Rille and had a brilliant time. We're not campers although like the idea (!) so thought the cabins were a great alternative. Love the concept of Huttopia and wondering how the other village sites compare (or even non-village) and whether worth branching out?
Hi Chris, Great to hear you enjoyed Lac de Rillé ! If you've checked out any of the other videos on my channel, you'll see that we have stayed at several Huttopia sites and they all offer the same balance between nature, camping and family fun without being too overcrowded. We love them, and we keep going back. Sites full of waterslides and bars are not our thing ! The only other village we have stayed at is Senonches, which is very similar to Rillé in feel but on the edge of one of Frances huge forests. It was a lovely location. Lots of the regular sites now have cabins as well, maybe you could try one of the canvas and wood tents as a half way house...? A little worrying if they've started to ditch motorhome/tent pitches in favour of safari tent and lodges? Hope this doesn't start extending to other uttopia sites.
