- It’s not everyday you get asked to take a bass solo on an album. That album is Seeds….
Produced, arranged and thought up by my good friend Rico, under his artist name Lasperanza.
A selection of beautifully recrafted songs, bringing together a raft of super talented singers and musicians.
Given this had been a long time dream Rico was trying to realise, I was honoured to do it but I also remember feeling a little intimidated.
I had barely touched the bass in almost a year from the grief of losing my dad. This short piece played a big part in finding my way back. Thanks Rico ;)

Liam, I am so sorry to hear the news of your father's passing - it is a grief that I also know in my heart. You have a great talent, my friend, not just in your musical skill but in the expression of your heart through your music. It is a gift that cannot be taught - I can't wait to hear more from you.

Wonderful Liam, and played with so much soul. Even more so as you played it on my all time favourite bass. I have an Ibanez SR1206 from 2012, but am still aspiring to reach that marvellous Yamaha TRB-JP2 some day. Thanks for making my afternoon. So lovely to hear someone who really can make a 6 string speak so beautifully. It makes a change from all those idiots who make disparaging remarks that the 6 is not a bass! I can't wait for more :)
I am new to your sound and I feel cheated out of every bass player I've ever heard, I understand you're grieving, your selections are by far the best I've heard of my mere 50 years on earth.

Ahh - wondered where you had been. So sorry hear of the loss of your father, but I'm sure he would be super proud that you've picked yourself up, and got back to the amazing gift on the bass that you have. Sometimes it is from the deepest sadness that the greatest creativity comes from, and it is such a honour for us musicians to be able to express that in music.
Hoping to here more bass releases from you in the months ahead - meanwhile, I have purchased Rico's album as that's the best way (apart from gigs!) that I know to support musicians.

I discovered your videos recently after my Father's passing then hearing about your tribute to your Father's memory I decided to take the same path in order to keep from being overwhelmed. I shared my music with my Mother and it gave her comfort as well. Then I lost her and my heart was overwhelmed all over again 💔
I continue to look for strength and listening to your videos makes an encouraging difference. Thank you for sharing and for your inspiration 🙏 ❤
