Did the same swap on a friend's Fiat 1.6 JTD, sound so well you can hear the turbo whistle and the performance is better, since it doesn't feel like the engine is suffocating due to the lack of air intake, which was a common thing with the stock air filter. Shortly after did the same on my 1.9 JTD, same results or even better and also produces much less smoke, cause it has more air for combustion and less feeling of an asphyxiated motor.
Yeah... about this layout... not a fan. It's not really acting as a cold air intake.. it's more of a hot air intake, seeing as it is set beside the engine (hopefully you have a customer hood that let's cool air in) as apposed to the original layout with the factory box which covered and prevented it from taking in hot air around the engine. And was designed to take cold air as you drive because of its location. For most cars cold air comes from the front, or bottom. I know we've all seen tuned cars with the hole on the front bumper, for this very reason. They have to be careful or risk confusing your cpu, air flow sensor might be thrown off, and check light engine will come on. If you do it,, do it properly and professionally.. but for 3-5hp, is it really worth it ...?😅

I have Honda City Idtec, Im applying same conical air filter but the engine is not giving much response as compared to stock filter, engine check light is also not coming
Idtech engine is very slow.. rpms also do not rise very high. Tuned only for mileage by honda.. no comments on performance update with reverse conical k&n... Idtech is only for mileage 🤦♂️ and sounds and feels like truck engine
I live in Gurgaon and its quite a lot of dusty over here and i have installed a hks free flow exhaust in my car and was planning to fit this conical air filter in my car,i was just wondering if there will be any problem cause of the dust?can it be a problem ?please help

Jus remove initial lag of the Diesel turbo engine which quite feels peppy for city driving
