Thank you so much for this video....I have the Alcatel Revvl 5G (T790W) on T-Mobile....and it's almost the exact same phone & internal layout. As similar as the 2 models are though, be advised that the actual micro plug on the battery itself differs from the 2 models...despite most other things seeming almost identical......so make sure when you order that the ad specifically states your model. Anyhow, my battery had been overheating and was getting bloated....to the point where my phone didn't fit in it's case correctly anymore. Your video allowed me to successfully replace the battery with a new one, and all is good again : ) The only thing that I messed up was the fingerprint sensor came un-done, and I couldn't figure out how to put that back....but it didn't matter for me because I never used it anyway. For anyone who is though, they may want to consider turning off the use of that fingerprint sensor before attempting the battery replacement. Otherwise, your phone may be expecting the use of the fingerprint sensor again once the new battery goes in....and if you messed it up and coudn't put it back....you may be outta luck!
This was incredibly helpful, I'm glad that this phone seems to be easier to replace the battery on than others I've tackled. My father recently bought a used model and my phone has been around for a while, so it's not unlikely that we'll be replacing a battery in the next year.
@@gorudashiroI'd assume as long as you're keeping the heat level reasonable, it's not worse than using the phone in a hot place for a bit. It should be able to handle that

@@DIYGeardo when my screen broke it was glitching so bad I couldn't turn it off so battery drained now that I changed the screen the guy said he tested it and the charging indicator showed on the screen but after he put it all back together it don't come on now nothing shows at all what can I do
Taking the back off is impossible with that guitar pick that comes in most kits, youre going to need to find anither way, the video makes it look too easy dont be fooled. Same with the sucktion cup.
I just got one of these, and was curious about how hard it was to replace the battery, this video has convinced me that it's more trouble than it's worth! When this one's battery dies, the phone is pretty much dead as far as I'm concerned.
