Kai is back with another thrilling round in the College Bridge Online (CBO) Daylong! This week, the competition heats up as Kai faces off against some formidable robot opponents, leading to a series of challenging and thought-provoking boards. Watch as Kai navigates through these tough games, showcasing strategic thinking and skillful play.
In this episode, Kai is playing IMPs, and twice the opps bid push games that are lucky to make. Bad luck I guess… However, theoretically, they should be flat boards using Robot theory. But on two separate boards, Kai makes a risky bid and a sound bid. Contrary to popular belief Kai was punished for the sound bid and rewarded for the risky bid, both scoring in the 1000’s on either side! What a wild set on this week’s CBO Daylong!

B3 - there's a diamond ruff available which is marked since partner couldn't beat dummy's 10. Amazing lead by the way. I'm not convinced it's right because you really might make your QH more by avoiding a heart lead, but on this hand, it was the only lead to defeat the contract (I guess declarer had to duck trick 1 double dummy to make)
B6 - great use of KOTA. So many players will draw 2 rounds of trump there rather than starting on the diamonds, and then they might be in trouble, especially with the 4-1 split.

Ah Interesting about the diamond ruff! Clearly the idea of it went over my head :( But will look for it more carefully when partner oddly plays low in 3rd hand high situations!
