For anyone that may have experienced anything discussed in this video..may the Lord grant you healing and strength. You are more than a conqueror through Christ ❤
Such an important discussion. So many people have experienced some kind of trauma that needs healing, sometimes Jamaicans and the Caribbean as a whole love to brush these things under the bush. And it’s not good.
An important topic. The impact of Intergenerational trauma is one of the things that drives my work. Keep raising awareness. There are many who are hurting but don’t understand the root of their pain or how it’s impacting others.
I was in Jamaica in June. Me and one of cousins got to talking on a road trip. It is a serious problem that we never talk about, his oldest brother got shot, one of a few of my cousins, he did two stints in prison, and our stories are so horrific the only way to deal is to laugh...and cry when no one sees.
I am so sorry for what you’ve experienced! The stories we hear are beyond words. And you’re right…it never gets talked about. People bury their heads in the sand, while so manner victims go without help and continue to suffer… 🙏 I pray you will find healing and peace. If you need an ear or a shoulder please just reach out. 🙏♥️
That's why when I pray.I pray that God remove the speed of abandonment. The spirit of neglect the spirit of hate.Because these are all spirits that has cast overall people and we need to recognize that we don't need to be bitter. And transfer to another generation. We need to break that generational curse in the name of Jesus.Thank you for this topic. It's well needed💯💯💯💯🇨🇦🇯🇲
Thank you for your comment and prayers. It is well needed for this difficult topic. In order for this generational curse to end, the victims need closure so they can start to heal and the first step towards that is acknowledgment and a safe space to speak without fear. God bless you
Thank you very much ... My God you've said it ditto.... I have so much content on this my girlfriend and I talk about this every week..... The Lord placed it on my heart to do a channel regarding this.... This is 3 an in the morning. So you know the Holy Spirit had to have me see this...
Yes, and it doesn’t cost any money. Everyone can raise awareness by simply talking about it and support the victims. They need a voice. God bless your efforts. God bless you 🙏
Yes…unresolved complex trauma is a huge problem. It’s the mindset of the people in the culture that needs to change… Yes, you both will receive push back for talking this “secret” and somebody had to do it… bravo!! To all the survivors out there… it’s NOT your fault that you were abused.
Thanks for your feedback. You are spot on! This is one of the open secrets and this vicious cycle needs to stop. Everyone and anyone who are interested in the welfare of kids can say something. God bless you ❤️
Facts I talked about this everyday I recently was talking to my cousin saying they should have centers set all over the island for adults and children because we all have been through things in life that many of us Jamaicans still haven't resolved and take it out and each other.
Yes I agree with you both , there are a lot of social issue problems that need to be address ! Lot of parents exploit their children ! I was watching a show call the Sharon Show , where a mother gave away her child and when the child became an adult , she went on the Sharon Show to try to find the mother and when she found the mother , the mother told her she should come look for her and take care of her because she gave her life and she could have abort her ! Lots of bad mothers try to hide behind the Sanctuary of motherhood and feel that a child owes them even bad mothers who abandoned their children , expect them to support and take care of them ! What bothers me are bad mothers and their entitlements ! The system needs to arrest more men for sexual abusing of young children especially girls that older men impregnate and nothing happens to those men ! As for the church it has become one of the most hypocritical place to go ! I find Jamaicans to be overly too righteous and religious but don’t live by the same sentiments ! Jamaica have more churches per sq miles , than any other country but yet countries , that don’t have that much churches are not overly religious and righteous are more prosperous and living in more peace and harmony , than the overly righteous Jamaicans ! A church is supposed to be a sanctuary , where you should be able to go for emotional , physical and psychological help but it has become a place of ridicule , exploitation and abuse ! I get what you guys are saying some things are just hard to put into words to explain ! Hmmm 🤔
Well said. Thanks for taking the time out to write such a detailed feedback. You’ve articulated your points very well and spoken truth. I agree with the solutions. Thank you for being a voice for those who are unable or afraid to speak. May God bless you
Morning family, very good topic. God bless me with two beautiful girls they are wondering why I told them I don't do sleep over. I don't leave them with no one, just me and my husband . I make sure told my girls to tell me anything . We are living in a very serious world. It Happy in the church , your family member I don't trust anyone with my girls.I am now in jamaica my girls are so happier since they landed❤🎉
Welcome home Gabby. I hope the move was a smooth one. You can never be too careful with your children and you’re right, it’s so important to build a trusting relationship with them. We’ll definitely catch up when we’re in St E next time ❤️
Oh my God this topic just hit me hard as during my recent visit to Jamaica a 7year old child of a Family Friend came to me in confidence to tell me of been molested by her Uncle I immediately went into shock I didn't know how to handle however I did discuss the issue with someone who promise to provide help for the child at this point in time I am feeling the trauma of that child although I have never experienced this situation
Thanks for sharing. Most people done know how to react after hearing news like this. Hopefully there’s a way out for this child and she gets the love and support she needs. Will be praying. God bless you 🙏🙏
In Jesus Name. As a Jamaican born in this sort of environment. I am not surprised. Our history has a lot to do with this kind of abuse. Brother, Sister you who believe in Christ. Just pray against this Spirit. Talk about it you are feeding in the Spirit realm. Just send around Prayer requests to the Jamaican Churches to Pray against this Spirit.
We need to face the fact that Jamaicans were very abused and treated badly during slavery and have continued to perpetuate these treatments in our present times. I remember how my grandmother treated my cousin who lived with us. This type of treatment was reminiscent of how a slave master would treat a slave. Instead of facing this "elephant in the room" of our temper and angry personality, and figuring out where THESE behaviors come from, we instead sweep it under the rug and say our Jamaican slavery was NOT AS BAD as IN OTHER COUNTRIES. A BIG LIE, I think.
💯 absolutely! I am praying for change. We’re hoping to bring attention to it. Many persons reached out because of this 🙏🙏 I think it’s the first step towards healing…acknowledgement 🙏 Thank you for your comment. God bless you ♥️♥️🙏

Some Jamaican not going to like this topic!! but this is the honest truth I think 95% of the girls are abused some ways or other.
No one is safe, neither boys 😔 Thank you for your feedback. God bless you ❤️
Exactly so, but truth must be told.....Jamaica needs a system where we can track these abusers. There's no accountability at all..
Hurting people hurt people....
