      So here's an update. The test is not that hard when it comes to questioning, the main focus is knowing the information itself. (I failed because I failed to memorize main key factors, i'll do better next times but these videos helped a lot and I would have failed much more I got a 637)

      @@OPCombobetter luck next time. I need to focus more on ports, Comptia process and wires as in cabling.

      @@OPComboI got a 660, missed by 15…
      I struggled with the simulations.
      I also forgot many of the acronyms and was confused with a few of those questions.
      Trying again next week!

    12 is interesting, if the cable is modular shouldn’t you first try replacing the cable? It would be much cheaper and easier to do as a first step than replacing the entire thing.

      I agree, checking for bad connections and cable continuity is best practice. Literally a 5 minute job. All practice tests on UA-cam should be taken with a pinch of salt

      @CrashBangWallop-WAV Yea some of these questions are weird. Like a defective CPU fan causing a failure to POST is bizarre?

    Will the POST not make a beep if the ram is not detected? Question nr 10.

    grinding noise coming from a cable touching a fan? That not accurate. This should be a Hard Drive as the answer for question 8. I have never heard grinding sounds with cables touching fans.

      I had this problem in my Pc last month so it is a good answer :) strange but this is it . First impression was that my fan is faulty but I was lucky that it was just a lose cable touching my fan.

    • @px7446nlebpse13
      @px7446nlebpse13 3 місяці тому

      @@alexandrunicolae922 I would say you didn’t hear a grinding noise rather a “clank” or a ticking sound. Grinding is mechanical in nature. While I’m not doubting your cable hitting the fan, it’s just not a grinding noise in nature.

    • @isaacrodriguez8907
      @isaacrodriguez8907 11 днів тому +1

      Okay thank you, CompTia teaches that grinding is associated with failing HDD. This will throw people off if they associate it with “clicking”.

    I don't like how question 7 says which should you do "first" but then have the answer be all of the above. Seems unnecessarily deceiving to word it like that.

    The question that asks about grinding noice, and you said cable running against the fan…ummm that’s subjective. Also it does not say that in the CompTia study guide
