Really nice kit Andy , plenty of options for the figures and I really like the look of the dinghys supporting the wooden bridge, plenty of spare bits of field gear in there as well, thanks again for sharing
@davep7308 only discovered it a week or so ago and yes its a very good brew, currently 6 for £10 at my local Bargain booze so even better at that price.
Andy, very interesting kit, nicely detailed. So many parts to the soldiers - that looks a bit scary. Probably assemble first then paint. The pontoon bridge is pretty straight forward and at my skill set. When you think about all that moulding and sprue count. that's a pretty reasonable price.. Cheers, Bob.
LOOKS LIKE A GOOD KIT FOR A DIORAMALOVE THE EXTRA WEAPONS,GREAT FOR FUTURE BUILDS.THERE ENOUGHT WEAPONS FOR A PLATOON PLUS ALL THE EXTRA STUFF WITH THOSE TANK DESROYERS KITS.TAKE CARE ANDY.
@TheNoviceModeller there was a kind of donut they made that was delicious but I can’t remember the name , I remember very well the ginger biscuits and the marzipan in dark chocolate at christmas . I was offered a Shucko race car 52 years ago and it still looks new today. Undestructible
Hello again @johnhughes2653 and thanks for watching, currently i am terrified of figure painting so i am still on the fence as to whether personally it was a good buy, but there does seem to be a fair amount of content.
Hello there @barrypattison7980 and thanks for watching. Only discovered Spaten a couple of weeks ago and I LIKE. As a novice figure painting currently terrifies me, but i will start throwing paint at some figures shortly.
Hello there @jimwilson5338 and thanks for watching, i thought it was interesting also, will be a while before i pluck up the courage to tackle all those figures tho LOL.
Hello there @keithchowney3392 and thanks for watching. LOL i have acquired about 600 in 12 months, i have included a link to my "completed builds" playlist at the bottom, 30 vids including some multi vehicle AFV 1/72 kits plus 8 painting mules, currently got 4 incomplete kits on the bench. I am just a novice, with a BIG PLAN (10 year plan LOL) currently practicing on some smaller cheaper kits to try get my head around this modelling malarkey; part of my BIG PLAN is offering my viewers the opportunity to partake in what i call "you choose my next build" (done a couple already) where i offer 4-6 kits and let you choose what i build next, to do this sort of thing i need variety or lots of kits and i have lots of kits. TBH when i try a new hobby i tend to go a bit full throttle, my other passion is cycling; i have completed 240 miles in 24 hours and cycled and cycle-toured all over the British Isles including a 1000 mile 1 month odyssey taking in all 5 nations plus the Isle of Man, cycled the TTroute, climbed the highest peak in each nation, most nights under the sky in my tent or any random abandoned place with an intact roof, slept for 2 nights on an uninhabited island (except for 12 goats) off Jura in the Inner Hebrides' whilst carrying 30+kg's of stuff on my bike; but this modelling malarkey and Youtubing insanity is pretty damn hard, so bare with me and some of these rather nice 1/35's will get built at some time in the future; though as a UA-camr with a monetized channel, well reviewing the kits i have for future builds is just common sense, UA-cam kindly throw pennies randomly in my direction for every vid i make and i am more than happy to accept. Thoroughly enjoying my experiences on here, engaging with viewers etc and getting more confident with every build. Best regards andy be seeing you. studio.ua-cam.com/users/playlistPLq7NxxVyTV6ByZ9ROBqtrCVaFXouGcisv/videos
Hi Andy. And there was you telling us that you don't like doing figures ? One little error , you got your MP40's mixed up with you STG 44's. You have 9 MP 40's from what I could see. One very useful thing is all the extra personal kit parts. You don't have to festoon the guys with kit. Instead you could cover a couple of open topped halftracks maybe ( 250 & 251 ). Or a troop carrying truck. The bridge itself looks good but my only gripe with it is that the dinghy's are not showing any difformaty under load. Now before anyone says that they are hard bottomed boats yes thats true but the rubber ring itself would deform a bit with all that weight on it. Overall a nice kit but figures are hard work , lots of detail. Good luck bud.
morning brian LOL, figures, i am terrified but i am going to have a go at some in the new year, like previously mentioned some from my 30 year old box of stuff, ah i mixed the mps and the stgs oh well, yes the dinghys to look a bit too neat, probably hard to create more accurate ones possibly expensive also as i reckon they would all have to be slightly diferent for the effect to really work.
It’s a very nice box that could turn into a spectacular dio but that would mean making a piece of river for the dinghies and that alone takes the level of skills required much higher. Do you plan to use the figures dispersed or the whole patrol ?
Hello there @HO-bndk and thanks or watching. fair point, these recent 4 "whats in the box vids" have been a bit German-centric, i am going through some of my more complex and unusual kits as i have NO intention of building them anytime soon, i have some similar Brit kits that i'll be doing in a week or so.
Really nice kit Andy , plenty of options for the figures and I really like the look of the dinghys supporting the wooden bridge, plenty of spare bits of field gear in there as well, thanks again for sharing
thanks Kieran if only i had a big enough space to build all these things and construct a huge diorama?
Very nicely detailed kit which i can see me buying.Seems pretty good value considering all the extras.🐻🐵😊👍
Hello again @kitswithkaren5003 nice lot of figures to go at and yes loads of extra's, be a while before i have a go though.
I love Spaten beer

hi Bob, the extra equipment make it reasonable value, the infantry look terrifying but its something to aim for in the future.

i counted 8 mg34's so that'd be some heavily armed platoon.
@TheNoviceModeller A GERMAN HEAVY WEAPON PLT. WAS 55 MEN WITH 6 OR MORE MACHINEGUNS.
This patrol leader seems to be contemplating the bottle and dreaming of the October fest !
LOL i went to Oktoberfest about 15 years ago, i had so much fun i ended up with suspected gout in both my ankles.
@TheNoviceModeller lived in Berlin as a kid , I can still remember the nice smell of brotwurst, sausages and beer and all the loud singing.
you forgot the apple strudel LOL.

Thanks for this review. I've had my eye on this kit for some time, but the price was putting me off.

This kit is shouting for a diorama. Get in there Andy!
It is and could pretty much be used on any front, one day Hendrik, one day!
Be nice when you make some kits and see them !! You have bought a lot of kits 😀

@KLOSTER777 a river would also need much space, as well as the skill, no matter plenty of time for thinking about what to do with these fellas.
The first Mg 34's were actually MP40's LOL 👍
LOL one day @geofschofield7963 i'll get it right.
Hello , fellow modelerrs !
Good morning fellow modeller.
These kits. Why does it always have to be Germans? 😮
