To be fair, it was bound to kick of with Albion as soon as the club allowed ST holders to bring a friend, presumably due to poor sales. Meanwhile Wolves sold their 4000 in an hour, mostly to away ST holders - its a closed shop and as a home ST holder I haven't managed to get a ticket for the Albion away since the 3-2 game way back. Went every game before that - all seater has changed the BC derby into a more placid affair. Wolves fans weren't to blame here, they were comprised of just ordinary ST fans. very few risk groups. WBA are a proper club and I know 90% are sound, but I’m afraid the club have to accept some responsibility for fueling it by playing the liquidator, for serving beer to Albion not to Wolves, and for poor stewarding over the years where Albion fans have been taught that it is acceptable to go on the pitch. I'm more amazed that just 1 fan sat in the home end results in fans going onto the pitch? Ridiculous, and as for the 58 year slap-head getting his head split open by a truncheon..........what can you say. Embarrassing, as were the 20 or so 16 year old wannabee hooligans trying to posture and look hard. Knock knock knock on the door I should imagine. If you are gonna get life time bans and possible jail sentences at least waste it doing something. Well away allocation was reduced to 4’000 under segregation and police an safety regs for such an high category game…(Which is understandable for safety reasons for both sets of fans). But I know of at least half a dozen Wolves fans who bought tickets of Albion fans in home areas but again that’s not right either of Wolves fans to sit in home areas as this would an could cause trouble being in the home areas hence trouble we saw….So if those so called extra tickets were made available only to Albion Season Tickets Holders an Members they need to be brought to heel for selling on those home area tickets to Wolves fans for financial gain…And at the end of the day it’s not about ‘selling out’ it’s about the few idiots who sold on their tickets to the few idiotic Wolves fans in home areas.

Remarkable. If some Wolves fans were in the home stand, then I doubt that they'd have started any fighting themselves. Yes, it was stupid of them to have been there, but I imagine that it was the Albion fans who started fighting with them.
One must also consider how these Wolves fans got hold of the tickets in the first place. They weren't on general sale for that area, so they were bought and sold on by Albion fans.
Regardless of provocation; if we're to be mature about this and look at the legalities, then it's safe to say that the Albion fans are to blame. We are all aware that - legally speaking - we're not allowed to physically attack someone because they've upset us for one reason or another.
In all honesty, you don't have to look much further than a few minutes more into the video to see Albion fans below the vlogger kicking off and fighting with the police, to understand where blame lays - much less listen to how proud the one guy was with the trouble, lauding the scenes above those of other derbys.
It was good of Wolves to hold a training match to help a struggling lower league side.
