Only 34 here, seems like half the people my age just think a million in a retirement account is all they need at 65 and don’t invest in anything outside of their one house that’s not even an asset. The other half are content with a part time job and a studio forever. Sad. Any updates with Puerto Rico? I know you said you were looking to buy another house. I want to buy a fixer upper and rent it out long term. I know I would make more money with Airbnb but I don’t want the hassle. Looking forward to a PR update 👌🏾
I was always self employed so I've always known I needed to fund my own retirement, but I think most people just don't think about it. It is sad. As for PR I've got a video I started like 6 months ago that I can't seem to finish. I was also thinking about doing a year end update on the rental numbers. So I'll get something out soon for PR. Thanks for sticking around and watching.
Great video! When I worked in corporate America I had a 401k. Now that I left early I wish I would’ve kept my money & invested on my terms. I have had rental properties. Now I own a storage company & love it.
How do you stop the wife from spending. Even if i say no 75 percent of the time she pounces when I get worn down and then I give in... Spending on stupid stuff i truly believe is an addiction.
I am blessed with a wife that doesn't like to spend. I was the spender in our relationship. I did buy things just because I like to buy things. I think moving to the Virgin Islands cured me. Not that you can do that. But it was difficult to get things there and I just learned to live without stuff. Maybe I'll make a video about this topic. But, now my wife makes me throw something away if I get a new one. So If I see a shirt I like. She says "go ahead and buy it, but you have get rid of a shirt when you get home". And that makes me think about how silly it would be to get rid of a perfectly good shirt so a lot of times I don't buy the new one. (a least until she isn't with me🤣)
So true all this! Good video!

That's great. I think storage companies seem like they would be awesome. Americans do love their stuff.
"oversupporting" kids - well without that support the kids are screwed nowadays...
