Hey all, though I didn't post this, I am the original taper. Verified (unfortunately) by the very unprofessional yelling of myself and my cousin because we were so ecstatic to be there. I was maybe three-four bodies from the foot of the stage, dead center. Thanks for the thoughts. If I had a clue that anyone besides myself would ever be interested to hear this again, I'd have used a better grade of tape. That said, it came out pretty damn good, your basic bootlegger's luck and pigheadedness. The only song that got mucked up was "Light My Fire", probably because I was scrambling to get one of many drumsticks that Densmore tossed to the crowd and the recorder went off and on. I still have the stick AND the original tape. It was a spectacular evening and I'm really gratified by how much more passionate the new songs sounded live. Thanx for listening. Glad to answer any other questions.
Happy Camper, I used parts of your recording for my "Other Voices"/"Full Circle"-review. I mentioned you in the end credits, of course. THANX FOR UPLOADING THIS!
I listened to this concert bootleg you recorded once before and I think that it's very good for an audience recording the audio is very good it has a great audio quality I am giving this a thumbs up
I spoke with Happy Camper many moons ago, think around the time Ray and Robby reunited for the Harley Davidson gig. Never got to meet up but def should thank this gentleman for the Paladium, San Diego and the last show as the doors at the Hollywood Bowl.
Thanks, the best song for me "Hang On to Your Life" in live :3 I hope you have more content like this :D the Doors "post-morrison" was a interesting moment of The doors... I wait :D
Wait, this is the Doors without Jim Morrison!. They tried to keep going with Ray singing. It’s actually not bad but Jim was a legendary singer and performer so it’s not the same without him at the center of it all. A for effort though and thanks for uploading this show anyway. 🙏🏻🔥🎸😎Not bad for an audience recording. I’ve heard much worse.
My God I can't Believe this surfaced. I was there about 5 feet from the stage. My main recollections: Dr. John had the SEXIEST dancer a 17 yr old could ever hope to see. Behind me was a hip black guy with a tape recorder. I asked him if he was here to tape the Doors. He gave me a look of disdain and said " Dr. John". The Doors seemed 'funky' not acidic. This recording does not show how Robbie's guitar SPARKLED. It was loud and shone like a pulsar. To whoever recorded this I would love to know where you were located during this show.
wanted to suggest that the date, didn't ever exist for Morrison ever!! think he died a good 5 months before.maybe he wasn't singing for this performance.also, dig the song titles are all relatively based around the original titles, plus why would almost every song that they ever made popular be worded differently, except Ray is singing to.this performance, although one can tell that the rest of the music must continue without him. this is a great innovation in freeform, sounds to me like they couldn't figuare out how to call it a day,I think it devistated Robbie, and Ray,john was more into the movement.it 's pretty sad, their legacy wasn't documented the way that it could have been. not even the same show period.its cool that the rest of the doors were still keeping it together, not for money at this point,i know that when the doors did those additional numbers,I would have been there,to see that.but,I was barely 2 years old at the time, alrighty then.. thanks dude!

I was there. You might have seen us. We snuck in through the ceiling space and dropped down on to the stage from a window.

Man, Hang On to Your Life smoked live. I wish there was a soundboard recording of the live version.
There are three songs to listen...they are the golden tracks you never thought you'd ever hear live..
TIGHTROPE RIDE! One of my all time favorite songs!
Variety...hang on...Down on the farm.....never thought I would ever hear them live....
Wow
.. Good or bad this is priceless....
Thanks, agreed!
Definitely good

I love hearing these stories

Tightrope Ride was written for Jim's voice. Beat was very good.
Love hearing Ships with Sails!
Only live version of "Hang On to Your Life" I've ever heard.
Agreed - I wish THIS had been the "Other Voices" album instead of the cautious studio tracks they recorded. They really kick out the jams here.

coreyap1 awesome
The original taper, Happy Camper, said that he was at the foot of the stage, dead center.
@@susancioban-dwyer2569 , yep, sure was and crowded as hell! Like they say, "A Night To Remember!"
Right before Eye Krieger uses Land Go solo themes
eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee-haw!
