  • Hey UA-cam and welcome to another video!
My name is Joshua, I'm a starting artist original from Belgium but living in Barcelona.
Moved there in March 2020, lost many opportunities as so many people, and therefore it would be great to get a like!
Subscribe if you are into DIY videos, lightart and more, and please comment on the video on what you saw, thank you!
This is part 3 of 3!
If you came here to see the final result, check out this video :
    • My DIY Psyramid + Hype...
In these 3 part series I show you how to make a InfinityCube / HyperCube
Without 3D printing or programming or welding, and everything comes from Amazon!
The first cube I made was similar but I was not very happy with that one.
You can see it in this video :
    • My First DIY Tesseract...
What I didnt like and wanted to improve :
    - Too much glue and in the wrong place.
    - Not enough LEDs and not bright enough
    - Better control and nicer effect was needed, especially when playing on music
So what I did was make a complete new one using different LEDs, WS2815 this time, and a different way of putting this together ( simply taking your time is the way to do it ) and while I did that, I made these series!
Links and description to all materials :
The cube light ( available in black and white but also in other colors, I prefer the black ones ) :

    US link :
    www.amazon.com/dp/B00QV7S378/...
LED strip WS2815 IP65( make sure to pick the right one to your taste ) and you need about 3 meter for one cube :
    www.amazon.es/gp/product/B07L...
The two way mirror plexi ( I bought the biggest sheet available because I have multiple builds coming ) :
    www.amazon.es/gp/product/B01C...
Wires ( you dont need the full pack like I bought, just make sure your wires are compatible, 0.25mm ) :
    www.amazon.es/gp/product/B07L...
    The SP107E controller :
    www.amazon.es/gp/product/B07M...
    Power Supply 12V6A :
    www.amazon.es/gp/product/B06Z...
You can see that you almost need no tools at all except a good soldering gun with a small tip on it and a hot glue gun and some small stuff like a cutter and a ruler and some two component epoxy ( and a full bag of patience :D :D ).
If you want more tips and tricks about soldering, here is a video I made about soldering LED strips :

I think this could make a really cool tip jar, but am unsure how the effect would look with the opening at the top and $ inside, could you make a short video for me?

Hi and thx for watching! On my TikTok and Instagram you can find various clips of objects inside but for a tipjar wouldnt be the best idea since you have exposed cables and LEDs and the plexi will scratch supereasy.

That glass you got isn't available to me, but Amazon had another that was 30% reflective. Do you think that's enough, or do you think I should try and do better. My son has been going crazy being stuck in the house during this time, so we are pretty excited to start working on this project, and I just want to be sure it's the best it can be.

That should work and still have am amazing effect. You can also use normal plexi and one way film if you cannot find two way plexi. Thank you!

Just wondering how did you get that last piece of mirror panel in

The one in the video is open on one side and sits on an actual mirror to enhance the reflections. You could use a suction cup from a gps device for example to put in the last one

    hi, this is fantastic.
i tried to do a IKEA version of a Infinity cube, but this is so much bertter!
how is the 1mm plexi upholding? i used 4mm in the past, but with big projects it can warp and distort the mirror effect.
the projects i have seen you do are really good, you should have way more views. have you considered posting your videos to reddit?`
    i would recommend r/led r/ledart r/fastLED r/WLED
Wled could also be a grate way to control your LEDs

The plexi distorts a bit but not much actualy and I am working on multiple design to be manufactured custom for me using actual glas instead of plexi

Your diagram at 40 seconds, just to confirm, the lines outside the cube are running along the wall, and the ones inside are along the floor? Or is it the opposite?

All strips are in series but that is the path they are mounted inside the cube, i should remake this video with a better drawing i think

I was trying to figure out the path of my light strips, but I was just trying to figure it out as I went, but I like that you have it drawn out atleast👍
