yep Johnson and Zebco done them during 1st 3 versions/colors. been looking for one to ad to my collections which none are static displays I use all my reels even heirlooms
Try turning the star drag-adjuster counterclockwise as far as it will go and then try. If that doesn't work, the drag parts are probably stuck with old dried-up grease. If you haven't taken it apart to service it yet, you should probably get in there and clean-up and regrease the drag parts. Get the drag washer unstuck from the main gear. Let me know if you get it working or not!
Thank you. That's quite possible. Makes sense, but the last Pocket Fisherman I did had it behind the main gear also. Maybe they were both in the wrong place.
@@N2RI1 I'm 99.9 % sure that I have the drag washer in the correct position as shown in the video (i.e. between the main gear and the anti-reverse gear). This is the way it has been on both Pocket Fisherman I have disassembled as well as on the Fish-N-Fold II outfit which has the same Johnson reel. At any rate, both the drag and anti-reverse work fine as it is.

Hi! The drag on mine doesn't work. It just stops when i try to pull the line out. Cant figure out why.. Any ideas?
