Daaaaaaaaaaamn, that is what we call "Using ALL of the space provided"! That is so tightly packed and looks like it'll have great air for a family coaster. Solid addition!
Canobie is kind of limited on anything too tall. The town of Salem doesn’t want anything built above the tree line. And they are stuck with the fact that they don’t really have much space to work with and the problem of noise being in a an area of homes near by. The only land they really have is where the Corkscrew was and they have decided to extend the water park onto that land.
@@marjoriekalloch6271 They could put it in the haunt area behind Untamed (though there could be noise/zoning issues with that), or in the old Tall Timber Splash plot and extend a bit into the parking lot, or build something low around the old fountain under the sky ride. The nice thing about this kind of ride is that it actually can be really low to the ground.
I’m conflicted, glad they bridged a gap but I feel like they needed a launch headliner rather than a family. But happy to see something new since 2017!
I agree 100%, they definitely missed the mark with this one! Will it be a great ride? Sure! Will it draw people in for it after it's initial year, over a ride like Superman that has been there for ages? Absolutely not!
Looks like a really fun family coaster. Something the park lack. But the next coaster should be a standout attraction with high thrill and this park gonna be back on Radar for many
I think if the accident hadn't happened on S:ROS, people would still think of the park in higher esteem. You guys have this kick butt hypercoaster, with one of the most insane layouts I've ever ridden. It was literally relentless. That airtime hill in front of the ride photo building is probably one of the most insane I've ever felt, and that includes Phoenix at Knoebels, and the airtime jump into the bullride twisted section on El Toro. The tunnels and helix section felt like they kept getting tighter and tighter. I experienced it with the yellow lapbars in '04, So when they put the new U brick lapbars on, I think it turned a lot off a lot of enthusiasts. I've heard they dig into you the whole time. I do know that I watched a vlog from Chris of Airtime Thrills I think this year, and he was still okay, but now great. It'll obviously never be as great again because of incompetence, and well, Intamin.
Really good addition this will definitely help people like myself get over the fear of coasters. Definitely needed some middle ground between Pandemonium and like Batman.
eh. its alright. the park really needed a standout headliner launch coaster but then again theres not much you can do with that plot of land. hopefully theres theming
It looks like a great family ride. SFNE has a lot of thrilling roller coasters. the only similar family roller coaster they have is cat womens whip. This is a great addition to the park!
This would have made an amazing DarkCoaster if BGW had a building to fit it. Love the layout and length! Should be a good fit and looks nice in that area.
@@gr80nt79 I would love a gerstlauer bobsled, but that’s super unlikely as six flags is in bad relations with gerstlauer after the new Texas giant incident.
The next thing I’d like to see for this park is a solid dark ride. A well themed haunted mansion like attraction that can eat people, and would provide some air conditioning during the summer. Something by Sally Dark rides could work well.
With this ride coming in, I think the next major addition to SFNE shouldn't be a roller coaster at all, but a dark ride. That would bring in the kinds of crowds neo-Six-Flags wants.
Honestly sounds boring because it's defined as a family rollercoaster. I have been on atleast 4 of these this size some only 30 miles per hours. They are hands down the best. Hearing everyone around giggling and not being able to stop makes up for the less height and speed. They are a blast so very exciting, the one I went on closest to this one was Seaworld San Antonio. If you love rides that are 100 miles per hours and bummed it's smaller still try it out I promise you'll have fun! The second launch is what makes it even better!
@@JamesBurdon-gu5yu I agree as Valravn did nothing for me. I think it’s because they sat me in row 3 and the stupid vests. It just killed the drop. Griffon though I found more interesting. That drop was pretty crazy and it really didn’t have much to do with the height. A friend of mine confirmed what I felt and the drop feels like it’s bending inwards before you pull out at the bottom.
@@RY30DMthey just say “oh they beat the records by 1” and “oh look another dive coaster” honestly they’re just coping that it’s not a 300 foot rmc t-rex or something
When you consider that the park made a really big deal out of installing a shitty wild mouse and a cloned spinning coaster, getting a custom launched motorbike coaster with theming is actually a pretty big deal for the park
Welp, since they are keeping flashback for the forcerable future, can they atleast repaint it a different color? There is too much orange track in the north end of the park now. Would be nice to see a different color break it up. Flashback , quantum accelerator and twisted cyclones tracks are all orange as well as pandemoniums supports. I'm not a huge flashback fan but maybe they will give it some love with new vest restraint trains and the magnetic brake upgrade like they did at fiesta texas or replace rough track sections like Darien lake.
I'm disappointed. Not only does the park have enough family rides, but allegedly this won't even hit 60 MPH like other family coasters. Meh. Lake compounce has a better launch coaster.
Daaaaaaaaaaamn, that is what we call "Using ALL of the space provided"! That is so tightly packed and looks like it'll have great air for a family coaster. Solid addition!
I do wish it were Canobie Lake Park making this announcement--this level of ride is exactly what *they* sorely need.
New England are a chain park who desperately needed a launch coaster

Better having this than an empty space in the middle of the park. good addition in between Catwoman and something like Batman

Looking forward to riding this new-for-2025 coaster when it opens in a couple years!
