Improvisation doesn't have to be scary! Either stay in key or don't, depending on the type of music, but play what you feel! This is very moderate improv, but nicely done. Try it, try it, do it! :)

I think people might be surprised how much easier soloing feels when your brain is full of music. another tip is to think about stuff like..do i just wanna make up the entire thing as i go along, or do i wanna try to create a melody for a few measures (can be a simple one), and then embellish/improvise off of THAT for the next few measures after that? think about a lot guitar solos. they play a melody for a few seconds, then when it's done, they play it up an octave w/ some embellishments, and you can do the same on trumpet. it's something that can help if you're stuck wondering what yo play next during the solo.

So you put your head up and see the foggy and calm rain pouring. You put your slippers on and go to the kitchen where you see your mom putting the table together so you help her and for the rest of the night you have a wonderful night with your family.
that's not messing up, that's jazz. I'm assuming you're talking about 7:47 and such? it's called "pinching" and you take the valves and push them about 3/4 of the way down and force the air through to get that sound, and a lot of jazz artists do it in their music!
Sound quality is awesome. I can even tell when the trumpeter is reaaaly trying to hit those high notes and when they may do well to hit that ol’ water key 😂😂😂. Gives it such a live feel! I could listen to this all day

A friend of mine showed me that as long as you stay in the same key as the jazz song playing and can play along with the white keys. It was fun!
