- Richard Clayderman performs 'The Skaters' Waltz' by the French pianist, composer and conductor Émile Waldteufel. Arguably his most famous work, The Skater's Waltz was inspired by the Cercle des Patineurs at the Bois de Boulogne, Paris.
Richard Clayderman introduces the piece with a message for fans about his recent concerts in Bulgaria, the first since the Covid-19 pandemic.

I have saw your concert five times, first at Sahid Jaya Hotel( Jakarta ) on 14 January 1994, second at Balai Kartini( Jakarta ) on 7 June 2013, third at City Hall( Hong Kong ) on 14 February 2015, fourth at Balai Sarbini( Jakarta ) on 5 June 2015 and fifth at Istana Budaya( Kuala Lumpur ) on 1 April 2016. As usual, Richard, a fabulous presentation! I remember years ago, DECADES ago, almost 65 years ago, teaching myself this song out of the John Thompson pieano Method Book. Eventually I bought a book of waltzes and the original piano version of Skater's Waltz was in it...I never took piano lessons, but I did get a bachelor's in violoncello, as I played my way through college, churches, US Navy Chapels, weddings, entertainment, the like - I didn't NEED a teacher, ever. I learned piano on my own, which one CAN DO with talent and a brain for it; cello, I needed a teacher but earned my first dollar after 1 year of lessons, playing with Symphony professionals in string quartets. I know ALL the repertoire now at my advanced age, and i know when I see a pianist like myself and you are such a one, Richard! Keep up the YT experience, please. ROSES to you!
