An idea, with your Citrus arrangement, would be to use a smaller vase inside the larger one (placing the flowers inside the smaller vase) - the flowers will last longer as they won't come in to direct contact with the limes. The smaller vase will also help keep the limes in place. Love your videos!

Such a visual treat, Rachel! I have a lovely bouquet from some friends who sell flower arrangements at local farmer’s markets, and they put such whimsical elements in their bouquets...like tomato plants! So unexpected, but beautiful. 👌

A florist gave me a tip for working with hydrangea. She said to use a knife or vegetable peeler to peel away some of the outer stem of the flower near your cut so they can have more surface area to soak up the water. Keeps them fresh soo much longer.
I really appreciate that you take the time to do things in a smart way. Like getting a permit to forage. I never even would have thought of that! :)

Hey Rachel, I have a random question for you. How can you travel with fresh herbs? Can you wrap them in tissue, and place then in a porous bag? Thanks
Is the succulent arrangement gonna stay that size for long? I have some succulents in individual containers and they grow so much! I wonder if placing them in a shared container will make them so growing
Are the succulents ok with no drainage or where there holes in the bottom? I have a bowl that would work for this but it has no holes
I've tried making so many succulent arrangements over the years... they look so pretty at first and then start dying or one takes over and the others eventually start dying!! Do you have any tips for keeping them alive longer in arrangements where they are all snug together like that?

The succulent arrangements looks beautiful! but there are no room for the roots.. (and they don't have enough soil.. as far as I can see ) they won't last as long as they can.
Also If one of the leaves falls - put it *on* soil and it will grow a new succulent :) . it is pretty cool...

I bought eucalyptus from trader Joe's and it didnt make my bathroom smell, a friend suggested it. Do the ones that grow on your property have a fragrant? When I was in Australia, the smell of eucalyptus and tea tree was so fragrant, but of course, could not bring it home!

You can improve the first arrangement by adding a smaller glass contair around you lime slices to add the flowers in it so preventing your lime arrangement fall out .

Wow succulents in America are so cheap compared to where I live in Australia!
So pretty, where I live we have something called "allemansrätten" that gives a person the right to access, walk, cycle, ride, ski, and camp on any land-with the exception of private gardens, the immediate vicinity of a dwelling house and land under cultivation. Restrictions apply for nature reserves and other protected areas. It also gives the right to pick wild flowers, mushrooms and berries (provided one knows they are not legally protected). Swimming in any lake and putting an unpowered boat on any water is permitted unless explicitly forbidden. Visiting beaches and walking by a shoreline is permitted, providing it is not a part of a garden or within the immediate vicinity of a residence.

not many succulents love shade. especially echeverias like yours. they need full sun to maintain their colors and to stay the shape they are. if they don't have sun, they will stretch out.
I love to get baby's breath and eucalyptus at the store and make simple ones at home
