something about this ride is so much SPOOKIER at night! I think it’s because, especially during the beginning, there’s nothing around you but trees, which makes it feel like you’re actually out in the middle of nowhere. And I don’t know why, but the “temple” the lift hill goes through is creepier too.
I agree. The shrine for the yeti that the lift passes through always gives me the absolute creeps just from the sounds and chilling music alone.
The lights on the mountain are scary, too. They produce a certain sight that dares you to embark on the coaster, and in a way the mountain's night time appearance is more appealing to your thrill senses than it does during the day.

Alex Chipman it used to move, but it was to heavy for its support, so they turned it off. If she was on her own she would’ve worked fine. I guess you could say it’s too good for the ride.

I remember going on this for the first time when I was 7. The robot yeti ended up giving me nightmares for a few days, but hey, I still love the ride and my parents found it hilarious.
I’m gonna confess. I’m 12 and I’ve gone to Disney a few times. But, I haven’t gone on Expedition Everest yet. I don’t really like rollercoasters. I’ll go on Big Thunder, Space Mountain, Seven Dwarfs and other rides. I’m nervous to go on this and want to know from anyone’s experience if I should ride it.

this ride is awesomeeeeeee when you go backwards from the rail you turn a bit, and it gives you a big thrill. when you’re going down the big drop it feels like you’re being pushed against your seat but i can assure it’s totally worth it
This is my second fav ride in all the parks (next to splash mt) and I wouldn’t say it’s much worse than big thunder

If you get on at the right time you can see fireworks at the broken track from Disney's Hollywood Studios just like in this video.
Wow! Super surprised Disney didn't light the exterior run. Also my favorite pet peeve: Why didn't they put a screen of snow and rock blocking the view of flat flat flat Florida and the Magic kingdom's fireworks show when you are waiting for the first track switch?
This ride gives me anxiety during the day , I can’t imagine my panic attack at night lol I’d still get on but still
I just rode this ride at night twice it rained so we got two free fat passes and ounce it was 10 minutes luck my peps

I went on november 2022. Me and my little cousin went on the very first seat of the ride. We saw the other parks from afar at night. I overcame my fear of rollercoasters on this ride
its so pretty beautiful and cool at night the mountain glows
I went on this ride 2 times while I was at animal kingdom. One time in the afternoon, another at night, right before it closed. In my opinion, the time that I rode it at night was way better. It was creepy, but you could see other lights from the Epcot ball and the tower of terror right when you were going up the tall part. Soooo much fun, but I was scared in the beginning
Let’s be honest someone had a special experience on this ride. Wink wink nudge nudge. You know what I mean.

It sounds very quiet in the line
I went on my first time and my first big coaster in night. The wait was less than 5 minutes so it was cool. What was cooler though is the ride itself. Screaming made me feel so good haha; I loved it. I gotta do this again sometime!

It depends on the time of the year. This was actually shot around 9:30pm.
If you're lucky they keep it open on special occasions. If you're there one of the nights it stays open after dark, make sure you go. It's almost otherworldly. The park was made to glow.
It now closes about 10:30
Ever since the Pandora section opened, with Avatar Flight of Passage drawing huge crowds, Animal Kingdom had its hours extended.
