Originally this song was written by a German guy, and the lyrics by an Austrian), but somehow we adopted it, maybe because it suits the pipes so much......

They were added later, some are more well known than others but they are not HIGHLAND CATHEDRAL, highland cathedral is the tune written for the bagpipes when a highland games was being held in some part of germany. As much as i love these lyrics, they were not part of the compostion of this song. Meaning any lyrics you find are just parodies amd remixes per se
